Maybe cut a video afterwards as if you'd been there, with you responding to what Trump and Biden say????

PS. Believe it or not there are very few people who remain undecided about this election. As for those who may waver, the summer debates won't influence them as much as events between Labor Day and November 1, especially world or national events in October.

Debates were a big influencer back in the days of 3 major TV stations with the whole country watching live, at the same time. Since the dawn of Cable TV they have become more and more scripted by the host moderators, and performative, like American Political Idol.

And with literally everyone watching their phones all day long now, the debates themselves matter very little. It's the little bits that can be atomized on social media. And boosted by platforms that now have a definite agenda (see what's happened to Twitter - it's practically useless as an organizing tool for left of center users today). I am also seeing the TREMENDOUS power of social media based advertising, deeply entrenched into nearly every conversation I have with people on socials. It's insidious, and dangerous, and almost impossible to overcome.

The result of this election is TRULY in the hands of God and the hearts of the nation.

Nice words but I think the heart of our nation, the people, is responsible for either deciding to accept our corrupted systems and quickly fading democracy or truly show up to save our country. It must be done on a wide, collective basis from the bottom up. My fear is that the wealth gap has diminished the ability of massive participation in such an endeavor but the young have the biggest stake in all of this, so their my hope and I align with them. Marianne's comments on the power of the corporate duopoly parties remains a significant warning that we have lost our way.

Vote for Joe or we'll be screwed? What part of America has Joe Biden not screwed already? Perhaps the status quo is working for you but it certainly isn't for me or many of the people I speak to. Many of my liberal colleagues here in Chicago are jumping off the lunatic progressive ship, why? We remember a life three short years ago far better than the one this fiscally challenged, anti democratic regime of anti diplomacy war mongers has left us with. The individuals with the thickest blinders get what they deserve.

Rather harsh, Joseph, but true. Yet, most decent citizens don't truly wish to see democracy end but it's fading now. The only solution is collective uniting against our outdated systems but too many are exhausted by the wealth gap to even participate! That's the real danger I see on the horizon. It will be tough to save democracy and modify the corporate oligarchy along with it.

I want Marianne to be our president more than anything. Her candidacy has influenced the electorate, me included. I got goosebumps watching her at Union Station at her announcement. Her voice will influence other heart-centered individuals to step into politics and carry her message.

Reality is that anyone on a debate stage besides Biden and Trump dilutes the vote for all of them, especially our/your favorite candidate. Get real people. There is a stark choice. Muddle the electorate with no chance candidates and the probability of chaos rises.

To muddle votes in this pivotal of an election is somewhere on the spectrum between super risky and borderline dangerous. 🧨

Get real people. Wake up.

MW, I love you. I would love more choice in candidates. You bring an alternative voice, which I hope more pick up on and becomes “mainstream.”

Personally, I’m hoping the US can get there soon. And I’d like to say that you are decades ahead of your time.

When the election gets closer, please endorse the democratic candidate. 🙏

I don’t know if I will endorse anyone, but I can tell you this. In my mind the highest goal is to make sure Trump is not returned to the White House.

I simply don’t agree that denying people exposure to other choices has aided Biden or is aiding him now. Campaigning against people is like sharpening a knife. The system has coddled Biden and I don’t think it has served him; I think it has increased peoples cynicism. The danger to Democrats in 2024 is not people voting for Trump so much as people staying home or voting third-party. Do you think that if Biden and Trump are the only people on the stage that people are going to forget that the third-party candidates exist? No, I think them being on the stage by themselves, just like the way the Democratic primary went down, only makes people more cynical. And that does not make people more likely to vote for Biden.

Marianne, I concur with your thoughts herein. Also, with all the chaos these days, I will not be surprised if the debates are cancelled--since we don't know what's ahead. But our democracy is flickering-out as a bright light, and I think we will all have to unite collectively, as possible, no matter who leads, in 2025, due to the corporate suppression of the majority of citizens via big money being embedded into our governance. What I fear most is that the masses are too beaten down because of the wealth gap to a point where they are too exhausted and unable to participate in relevant civic actions for their own wellbeing. I respect and admire your ongoing courage and resilience. Peace! Joan

I like your explanation. And I defer to your wisdom. Thanks.

In my view, giving third party more exposure will increase their votes and siphon from the both frontrunners, which is likely to impact Biden more. I expect/hope Biden prevails, not because he’s the best candidate but because the alternative is too dangerous.

All an uninformed voter needs to see is that there’s a Kennedy running and . . .

It's up to her what she does, of course, but I don't see Marianne endorsing a candidate this time. She hunkered down and endorsed HRC then Biden in the last 2 elections, but she ran so hard against Biden AND the entire Democratic Party this time that to retain her integrity, I suspect she will endorse no one and pray that Trump loses. Or wait to the last minute and endorse one of the 3rd Party women.

I do think the Third Party candidates could have great flex in this election.

Jill Stein could attract just enough votes to swing a tight race if she declares her victory margin to Biden after bargaining for some concessions. Robert Kennedy knows the electoral college system very well, and could throw the election to the GOP House who will elect Donald Trump, convictions and all, in a flash.

It will be messy no matter who appears to lead at 11:59 PM on Nov 5.

Trump is a bellicose loser, and a dangerous one. With friends in High Places.

Many of his allies in the House and Senate were prepared to invalidate Joe Biden's 2020 win, and some were covert supporters of the violent J6 2021 insurrection.

I suspect this is why Bernie endorsed Joe Biden so soon and so clearly.

He knows what's at stake here. He's not willing to take a chance on catastrophe.

You don't understand. It is rigged, meaning it is not about Trump ahead or not. Just the fact that we hear every day, 365 days a year Trump in the news means that he is part ot the cabal, otherwise if they didn't want him there, he would be banned, like Marianne Williamson, Robert F. Thank you, dear Marianne, for your passion to keep on speaking truth, from the bottom of your heart! Yes, "power to the people!", as John Lennon and Yoko Ono already sang in the early seventies. The other unstoppable candidate who keeps on holding up and who I admire a lot is JFK jr. If I was an American (I'm Swiss, living in Switzerland), I would vote for him, allthemore as he is an independant. It seems to me that both parties, the democratric and the republican, are lost in corruption and power struggles. I recently watched these two very impressing videos: 30mins RFK Jr. Netflix-style Documentary narrated by Woody Harrelson (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gMRo0n40v_M) and: RFK Jr. Joins Forces To Fight For America’s Physical, Mental, Spiritual Wellness (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Z1cP8wsZkI).

Yes, let's "make noice" and get active all over the world for real democracy and real peace and freedom. The time for change and transformation is NOW. "The more beautiful world our heart knows is possible", as Charles Eisenstein, who advises JFK jr in his campaign, doesn't stop saying. His statement/leitmotiv is also mine.

1 million percent. I HATE what the DNC did to bernie in 2016 and look what we got. but that's spilled milk; we need to learn from that and from the dirty tricks that happened to get Drumpf elected in the first place. Make sure 45 does not become 47, THEN fix the problem. When they screwed Bernie he said: do whatever it takes to make sure Trump doesn't get elected (even if it was vote for Hillary). Didn't matter, LOT Of bs at play in that election. the ship was barely righted after the 2020 election/events of Jan 6th unfolded as we thought they might. But Trump cannot get into the white house or there won't be 'free' elections again, 3rd party or not.
