I can attest to the power of daily meditation to strengthen one’s mental ability to withstand the chaos that this current presidential admins throws @ Americans (& the world) almost hourly. Now, instead of recoiling when feeling psychologically (if not physically) assaulted, I focus inward, find the shared light of strength within, then lean directly into that person or situation without feeling freaked out. And for sure, it’s because of strengthening through daily meditation, I have this tool which feels like a super power.
This is the part people still don’t want to fully metabolize:
America is not merely being mismanaged.
It is being monetized in real time.
War is no longer treated as a tragic failure of diplomacy. It is treated as an asset class. Democracy is not being protected by the machine; democracy is being harvested by it.
And when the state itself begins taking equity stakes in the industries that profit from war, we are no longer looking at “policy.” We are looking at the fusion of government, violence, capital, and private enrichment into one monstrous organism.
That is not governance.
That is capture.
The old language almost feels too small now: corruption, fraud, profiteering, conflict of interest. These words describe pieces of the beast, but not the beast itself.
What we are watching is the spiritual bankruptcy of a country that forgot government is supposed to be a sacred trust, not a business opportunity.
A nation should not be run like a business.
A nation should be tended like a living body.
A family.
A garden.
A covenant between generations.
And right now, the body politic is inflamed. The immune system is waking up. Millions of people are moving from confusion to grief, from grief to rage, and from rage into that strange, clean place where the soul finally says:
Enough.
Now we act.
That’s the real assignment now: not panic, not numbness, not performative outrage — but disciplined moral clarity.
Register. Vote. Organize. Pray. Study. Strengthen your nervous system. Tell the truth. Refuse the con. Refuse the spell. Refuse to become so exhausted by the ugliness that you abandon your part in the healing.
The profiteers are building machinery.
We have to build conscience.
The shadow government has money, weapons, and leverage.
We have memory, numbers, truth, and the small still voice within.

This type of betrayal and failure of government towards its people has happened many times throughout history of course, but I wonder if ever it has been so blatant or extreme as this, given the violations to the Constitution and Bill of Rights. Future generations of Americans will face the dire consequences of our collective ignorance, inaction and apathy, so it is as Marianne says, we cannot hide from this.
I am ready to engage in this transformation! I'm eager to support candidates in other states that are working to flip seats and represent the people. I'm gearing up for May Day and spreading the word. I'm running for state rep. I'm ready and not feeling depressed - despite keeping informed as best I can. I'd love to join your book club on The Soul of America.
With my having you pegged as the voice of America’s soul, appreciating every new call you make to us, where if you just keep talking I can see that sequence where first they laugh at you and end up listening to you, as things are getting so insane that every day is a threat to the continuation of civilization as we know it, I still hope you’ll do something more radical to collect us. If they state that they are taking charge, so many millions would be on the streets in Washington that we couldn’t be thwarted."
I highly encourage any one who has the opportunity to register to be a poll worker. First, they need the help. Secondly, you will see for yourself just how mamy safe guards are in place to secure votes and you will be qualified to challenge those who claim the voting system is rigged. Thirdly, you'll meet wonderful people and you won't know, for the most part, which party if any party the represent. And, you'll get paid. Not much. But something that you can then donate to the candidate of your choice.
The voting is rigged, there are no safeguards, follow that poll worker process and you'll find the top level calls the shots .Voting for govt, your vote is registered with the govt, new idea voting is fraud. They tyrannical govt wouldn't even let you do it if it changed anything, the status quo.
Think about the circus we call an media election process that is biased mind control , behavioral conditioning.
The dangers of military industrial complex expansion was pointed out quite accurately in a famous speech by Dwight Eisenhower. He was right about that, of course. As for his 1953 decision to use the CIA for regime change in Iran to topple a democratic-elected leader to an oil-friendly shah, I believe that was the worst decision of Ike's presidency. Unfortunately, we are now witnessing all of those mistakes of the past resurfacing and 🔎 magnified by technology. As we are resisting authoritarianism in the US, it is important for us to express our will as Americans in whatever way we can as individuals; certainly our votes mean the 🌎 to our country and the world. If Hungry can do it, so can we!
This is excellent and so many points that hit me over the head! The American citizens were told that the new admin would tighten the budget and save money! This is so appalling and a slap in the face of us who are supposed to have the government be the representatives FOR the people. I’m so done with this admin and honestly our American government!! They seem to govern their own pockets!!😡
How can we take this from the internet into real world action, other than voting? I want to be part of the revolution where we get to remember our inherent freedom & also our responsibility to care for one another and this earth. 🤍
I was on your MA campaign team back in 2020, Marianne, with Kathleen McDonald, Susan Olshuff and many others. If there were ever a reason you weren’t meant to be President yet, it must be that God believes your wisdom and clarity is better served by the steps you take daily to inform and lead so many of us back to our Selves and the truth that love and politics couldn’t be anything other than the same thing. I, for one, am so grateful and humbled to be in your sphere contributing my minuscule whatever to our Earthly cause. 🙏

Calm comes from surety, Gandhi's "small inner voice within". Trump and his ilk have no surety-hence the daily, sometimes hourly, bombast, We need to keep them off balance, as he has been trying to do to us.
I honestly wish I could believe that building inner resilience, community organising, peaceful protesting, playing fair and voting would ultimately remove this regime from power, but I can’t. These monsters need to be removed forcibly by foul means if necessary. The longer they retain power the stronger their position will be. Voting means nothing to them and they will never go willingly. November seems very very far away right this minute.
