Beautifully written. Horrifying to feel the truth of. Every chance I get, I reach out to some stranger and ask if they’re upset as I. Almost every time, the mask of indifference falls away and a real person appears, some measure of anguish and confusion on their face. Sometimes we hold hands. I believe the vast majority of Americans 1) just can’t believe this is happening, and 2) are just beginning to feel , as you say, what it means to have our freedom—newly beloved !!!- taken from us.

The saying : Whatever doesn't kill me, makes me stronger might apply here. If we don't succumb to this onslaught, we can come out of it stronger. The world works this way sometimes.

True, people could use it, the suffering as there can be no understanding and compassion without suffering , like the mud and muck the Lotus needs.

The corporate media is in the business of reactivity( muck).

Brava Marianne and thank your truly Loving American heart for continuing to speak out and encourage us all. Now more than ever, if every American man and woman (especially we women) read your 1993 book A Woman's Worth, all the world would soon be much better served!

Also, I think this would be the best sign for everybody! I heard it on a podcast because the speaker of reference to sign he saw a few years ago: “I’ve been to the future. We won.”

It’s like a very deep cancer that is already wrapped around some healthy organs. It’s astonishing they were able to pull this off, but they did.

The dysfunction and dishonesty in Congress is so brazen. Today at 10 am EST the Speaker of the House began his press conference by saying : "ok...Good Morning! Today is 17th day of the Democratic Party Shutdown".

The Republicans control the Congress and Republicans have controlling majorities in not only the House but the Senate, the WH is Republican, and the SCt is too. Has the esteemed Speaker explained how the shutdown is not the responsibility of Republicans?

Why aren’t we getting him out of there? From embarrassing us it could go to killing us. We have the net for a peaceful revolution. At some point in all revolutions it just becomes too much for the populace. Can’t that be now?

Maybe. To add something, there have been so many times that figured surely to be where everyone would see through him and he'd lose even his base, and I am continually incredulous at how many people are so easily fooled.

All I can think of now is how and when we will take it down . These monuments and ballrooms will be a sad reminder of this nightmare of darkness we are in.

The White House is on the National Register of Historic Places and a National Monument. This is way past crazy and illegal. Keep it real and here and now.

one could hope/pray that if there is another president, that she/he/them/it will take the wrecking ball to these tacky ‘piece of shit edifices’ the exact instant the inaugural speech is finished.

all televised live of course.

Garishness hides the hollowness underneath. It is up to "We the People" to redirect our nation from one that worships money, violence and convenience to one that humbly respects the diversity of life in all its forms.

Wonderful piece. Things are so literally unbelievable in our country - while some countries in Europe are literally paying students to go to college and artists to do their thing…

Wondering if there is a prayer we can all say together? I’m praying for Heaven on earth to come

The miracle will be a solution without a revolution. That means not as much about being armed with weapons against an “enemy” - but about accepting the love for one who we’ve been taught to see as an ”enemy” — maybe trump is the best teacher if we can see it as a learning of where are enemy really is.

Like Emerson said “ what lies behind us, what ours before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.”

Instead of being Christlike in loving unlovable people, come from love. We can do that. “Every single thing we do in this life should come from love. Every action, every statement, even if you have to let somebody go, the hardest thing you have to do, can you do it with love and not anger, fear, greed? Most business decisions come from fear and greed. Can you make that exact same decision but from a place of love?” Raj Sisodia (a major business trainer -- 7 minutes in the link)

The USA govt hasnt upheld the Freemason's US constitution( for some time) .

We need to be responsive not reactive.

If you didnt watch media would you still be infuriated?

When Bush started a war were you also infuriated?

We have lots of angry( fearful) people which just causes more problems.

Sometimes no action is needed , just awareness.

If that awareness doesn't include the awareness of human and other species suffering, it's just navel gazing. It's not transcendence; it's denial posing as something else.

Would I have helped people with AIDS if I had just looked the other way and called that "spiritual?"

We are not in opposition to goals, I was not clear, I did not say no action. If you are feel you need to take action you should I didnt say dont act , but for right action it has to come from a non reactive state( presence) not from being infuriated (by the media propaganda and circus Trump show).

I think right action can only come from Love.

Suffering is the ground of understanding and compassion.

no suffering no understanding and compassion.

It is the muck that grows the lotus flower.

love and peace
