I seriously thought for a moment that someone in the course manifested it teleporting us in this new reality where a well known spiritual teacher is going to be the president of US.

As a 22, almost 23 year old who barely existed in the minds of my parents before the 21st century, I have been scared. The first election I was really aware of was the 2016 election. The first one I could vote in was the 2018 midterms and then the 2020 election.
All the talk since 2016 has just been “stop Trump”, “stop the right”, but the right keeps growing and growing while the left stagnates. Those of my generation have become cynical looking at the politicians we elected who do nothing but maintain the status quo. The status quo that is destroying our planet for short term profits, affecting the earth WE will have to inherit.
I found videos of your interviews on TikTok and bought your book, and to read and hear you discuss your views has given me hope.
Much of the discourse online says you are doing this as a vanity campaign to sell books. I don’t see how that could be true when you read or listen to anything you say. You are inspiring. That is what a president should be.
For the last few months as the corporations raise their prices and tell us in the service industry that they “can’t afford” to give us hours where we can make a living, they have also told their shareholders that they have made record profits. These corporations think we are stupid. They think we don’t know and see what is going on.
In my opinion, we haven’t had a decisive and effective democratic president since FDR, and the climate right now is looking similar. An oncoming depression, corporations with more power than ever before, Americans reeling after a pandemic. Our ancestors did this and were slowly beaten down by the establishment into believing that the government cannot work *for* us.
When you said we are in another Gilded age, that spoke to me. Not enough politicians speak to political and social trends in history. We are a small part of the human fabric of our ancestors, not an isolated generation.
We need another FDR. He used to do fireside chats on the radio. What else is the modern equivalent than a president who posts daily positive meditations! I DREAM that you will be our first female president, Marianne.
