in 2024 July 1 the US Supreme Court ruled that the United States now has the status of a medieval monarchy .The relative truth is the united colonies US is a Monarchy, still part of the British Crown empire.

Reality and freedom is from knowing who you are

and not getting pulled into the regressive collective stream

Such a beautiful and true statement, Marianne. I still have a profound problem with maintaining the word "men" where it should be "People." I also have a problem with using "He" in religious references, as "God" (and other "supreme beings") does not have a penis. But that's for another discussion. What I'd like to know for now, is what branch of government has the power to update/evolve the U.S. Constitution with the aforementioned pronouns among other things? We should not be perpetually ashamed of our complex history, but rather study it, know it, learn from it, be sorry for the ugliness and proud and grateful for the beautiful, and do our parts in being better humans that make this a better world. Do we need a peaceful revolution to have an evolution? With Marianne and others here, there and everywhere, it looks like we are.

Revolution is an interesting word - coming from the same root as revolt.

I believe we need to do things differently. We can't keep eating the oligarchs candy and then wonder why things are in the current condition.

We buy their cars with the built in Spyware.

We allow the technocrats to thumb their noses at what The Constitution has to say about our privacy.

These same oligarchs are building their giant data centers, flying in the face of any and all local zoning laws or public hearing provisions.

On Memorial Day, I met people working in travel.centers who WERE NOT being paid time and a half or better for working a federal holiday.

Revolution? Something's gotta give!!!!

Our salvation, to remember who we are and the principles on which this nation was founded. We begin again, to form a more perfect union.

Love your title, your photo and your call to “We The People”. I think we should be out in full force to revolt on July 4, 2026!

Thank you Marianne!

We are responsible for our government. There are millions of us, so why do we not turn this around? We could, if we chose to sacrifice our time and energy to this great cause. July fourth should be a day of protest—and organizing. Without strategy and tactics, our vision remains merely magical thinking.

We need: 1) to recruit competent and caring, evolved leaders; 2) to create the structure for a longterm, rolling general strike and weeks of no online-shopping along with developing networks of mutual aid; 3) to dismantle the Pentagon, transforming our military into an international body involved in environmental remediation and social justice. If not now, when?

Yes, I had mixed feeling in Portugal while visiting the churches, castles and monuments. I kept thinking, "how beautiful". but at what cost? I wondered how many people died building all those beautiful building that we all admire now. And then, I thought similarly about some of our residential architecture. There are some truly beautiful homes that could only be built by the very wealthy. It used to be there were not that many and not as opulent, but now there are more of the super wealthy and lots, lots more of the poor. I also think that about art. I'm really happy that there are people who can afford art, but again??? At what cost?

Marianne Williamson's avatar

With art, for me, it's not about what cost. It's that museums are so wonderful...so truly democratic...and the art there belongs to everyone. Then there are people paying hundreds of millions of dollars for paintings that only they get to see, except when they donate them for a while, or even kept in their faults. It's all so skewed.
