I had a very beautiful conversation today with Yeshua. In that conversation he was explaining to me how some people need to live within the boundaries of a religion because that is what their soul needs for its lessons in this life. He also explained that the New Testament was never intended to be the only books ever written or inspired by his life and teachings. That it was written for where humans were at in their evolution at that time. So I asked him what other books he co-authored. His response “A Return to Love” and “A Course in Miracles”.. ☺️

Marianne, you’re VERY good at listening without judgement. It was very shocking to me when you had no reaction when I told you I was voting for Trump. You just asked questions. I’m trying to do the same—just listen. I was listening to people who are very pro-Trump. I was quiet. They asked why and wanted to know if I disagreed. I said I agreed with a lot of what they were saying, but I think I’ve lost my compassion. I said I felt guilty. Now I listen a lot to both sides and really try to understand their reasoning. I don’t get riled up. I stay calm. I learned that from you. Thank you.

I’ve been actively seeking to surrender my own disdain and resentment towards those that voted that man into power. That’s the feeling I have towards the MAGA crowd.

This is a work-in-progress, more of a renovation of my heart, cognitive biases and even psychological curiosity.

On a personal level, it deeply disturbed me that my spouse and adult children, who openly profess to follow the teachings of Jesus, voted for the same man.

My brain resolved it by understanding the power of the tromp de l’oiel, the Barnum circus- type deceit that had to exist to fool them.

Finally, they each have “come around,” in sorts.

Finally- we can all acknowledge his (entire administration’s) behaviors as lacking values and moral compass, as well as consistently driven by an impoverished ego.

We can acknowledge, together - that evil dressed in finery …

still leads to death.

Your piece has encouraged me to keep pressing, and perhaps on a community level. Thank you.
