Those that are not students of history might want to revisit President Eisenhower's "Farewell Address" concerning the military and corporate bloc that has dragged us into so many conflicts since WWII was ended. The War on Drugs, has been an absolute failure, but an excuse for spending untold amounts of money that could be used for many other needed purposes within our nation. Lederer and Burdick's books, "The Ugly American" and "A Nation of Sheep" can open one's eyes to the longer-term effects in our relationships with other peoples and nations. "The Emperor's New Clothes" syndrome which seems to be still alive in this country, has been a guiding light in the MAGA movement. Wayne D. Armitstead's "Capitalism Perverted - Exposing the Sources of Income Inequality" shows how capitalism in this country has truly separated the elite from the rest of the economic groups. As citizens of this nation, hopefully we will explore the concept of Enlightened Self-Interest rather than one of I can't be bothered.

Biden wisely added to it, talking about a Tech-industrial complex. Big Tech has now joined the ranks of the military-industrial complex, exponentially increasing the danger.

Americans have yet to grasp that every action begets a reaction. The Law of Karma ensures that what we visit on weaker nations will reverberate throughout time and space only to return to us.

Trump disregards all restraint, and not only is collapsing all democratic principles but destabilizing the entire world, ushering in widespread traumatic enactments, massive ecocide and extinction. We need to come together, we the majority who believes in goodness, and overturn the ethos of selfishness and accumulation.

By trying to better the world on a daily basis, millions of people can heal both the planet and become a force a transformation of Americans' foreign policy, policies too often based on greed, ignorance and violent self-aggrandizement. We can do better--and we must!

“All are needed, everyone. No one is too small or young to take part in this Great Plan for the rescue and the rehabilitation of our world.

Resolve to do this and be assured that My help will not be withheld.

How to start? Begin by dedicating yourself and all that you are and have been to the service of the World, to the service of your brothers and sisters everywhere. Make sure that not one day passes without some act of true service, and be assured that My help will be yours. This, the path of service, is the only path for true men, for it is the path which leads them to God.”

Thank you for writing on this. The actions of moving military assets to the Venezuelan coast is a BIG DEAL!

Also, thank you for bringing up the.piece about the Senate voting to stop Trump from taking military action WITHOUT THE CONSENT OF CONGRESS!!!!

I am so angry and frustrated with the long line of presidents taking mitary actions presidents are not authorized to take by congress.

And with regard to our government and drug trafficking - let's look at the role of the CIA in drug trafficking if we are going to talk about how the US drug war played out around the world!

Marianne or anyone who knows, WHEN WAS this vote? I didn't see a headline in the morning newsletter I read in the NYT most every day.

And, it was not covered in a way that caught my attention on the Sirius/XM middle of the road radio news program, The Julie Mason Show.

How can a vote like that manage to fly under the radar?

Mother Hale use to remind me growing up back on the 40s how the USA was always policing the world how and the government leaders were all much the same when it came to wars and sending our troops into war. My Uncle was killed in WWW1 and my best friend’s dad was killed in the Korean War. I remember Harry Truman and Eisenhower mostly. Today I just listen mostly to all the rhetoric and political garble…so much corruption 😢

The noosphere (pronounced NOH-uh-sphere) is the layer of the world made of thought, meaning, ideas, language, beliefs, and shared consciousness. It’s not physical like the atmosphere or the biosphere. It’s the next layer up — the sphere shaped by human minds and human conversations. It’s the shared field of thought humanity lives inside. A global “cloud” of ideas, stories, and beliefs. An invisible environment created by our conversations, values, and meaning-making. Marianne, by expanding our awareness, you are altering the noosphere, which in turn changes people's thinking and, consequently, behavior. The noosphere ultimately determines our reality. Keep up the good work.

We THE PEOPLE are not authorizing a war on an already ravaged country, or any other country. He will never be the great leader responding to a true crisis for our country. He is surrounded by the people who believe in the dark side, so we choose light and Love.

Thank you for your much needed clarification on all things political. You r3mind me of my dad who passed 20 years ago. He always saw what was coming, I don’t have that level of clarity but do have more than an idle interest in local and global politics. My dad would be turning in his grave as they say, at what is emerging. It’s hard not to be terrified by the sheer scale of hatred and violence on our planet right now. X

As with VietNam, which spread over time to Cambodia and Laos-and almost engulfed Thailand as well; as with Iraq, which spread to Syria- the gathering plans to subdue Venezuela are already starting to include Colombia, and could easily spread to Mexico, Nicaragua and Cuba. None of this will even remotely end well-for anyone.

His war will be in response to the Epstein files being released. ANY distraction, and war looks like it’s the ONLY distraction that might change the news cycle for the unpopular king. I HOPE we don’t let him get away with these two unforgivable sins. He is a pedophile AND a war criminal. Plain as day.
