Yes, grieve for all the Israeli and Palestinian children and families. But at the same time please pray for all the people that live in fear because of political and corporate corruption and pray for peace in our time. If not now, when?

Thanks for your challenging response. I encourage you to remember what the answer is, and then answer is love. Hate is not the opposite of love, hate is a precursor to rage which destroys all. Your fear is your obstacle to love.

Marianne, I share your need to grieve the injustices people inflict upon each other. I recall what the Dalaí Lama attributes to this condition: ignorance. Indeed, humans are still way off the mark when it comes to realizing how much we are the same and need each other to thrive. We are not separate but are one! Peace. And thanks for reflecting your views as always! Your journey is beautiful.

It also makes me very sad that forces in this country will almost certainly use the instability to further our own grievances and separation. That makes me ill.

You hit the target Dr. Joanie Tool when you mentioned the word 'separation'. Most humans still think we are separate from one another that's not true but people see each others external facade as different and language as different and jump to the wrong conclusions. We all desire the same basics in life: safety, food, clothing, shelter, love, and understanding. Humanity destroys itself from uncritical thinking and ego instead of recognizing our inner spirit that is pure consciousness from the ultimate source that created all of us! Hopefully, the new paradigm of scientists working on this problem will help us primates understand reality better.

To me it all depends on what one considers 'white'. I find this notion of NATO misplaced propaganda.

please don't make yourself sick - we need you. The planet apparently is groaning, waiting the revelation of the children of God. Be about maintaining conscious awareness of our oneness with all things.

"Today I simply want to grieve. I don’t want to argue. I don’t want to take a position or argue policy. I just want to grieve." ... The horror of what we do to each other is beyond comprehension!

Joan Halgren's avatar

Bill, your statement is correct about what we do to each other. Humanity bleeds out of fear since, incorrectly, we see ourselves separate from one another and we are not! The new paradigm of scientists notes our entanglement and impact upon one another. That's the central problem of people for centuries.

We need to return to the concepts of earlier peoples, who knew that we are interrelated and need each other to survive no matter what! P.S. I am glad you support Marianne!

Unfortunately, the doctrine you write of is an outworn paradigm in the 21 century. The better answer is co-creative collaboration that makes war obsolete. Resolving root causes of conflict is the best solution to avoid destruction of people/things. It works to reconcile differences.

I remember visiting Jerusalem about 15 years ago and feeling somewhat uncomfortable, something wasn’t sitting right.

I noticed how very small it was. How the Arab and Jewish quarters were right next each other. How the Temple Mount was so visible from the security gate which one has to pass to enter the city, but we were forbidden from going in that direction. Meandering through narrow passages during Lent, storefronts on all sides, as we walked the path of the stations of the cross. In awe as I witnessed pilgrims from all over walking this path. Feeling so sad upon learning that the city had been destroyed, attacked, besieged, and recaptured countless and countless of times. Watching the Israeli youth carrying their rifles on their backs while visiting the wailing wall. What a juxtaposition. Even though my mind understands this need for protection and defense, at my soul level, all I felt was sadness. What insanity. All this death and hatred. How does humanity create such destruction in the pursuit of the holy ?

It’s so hard to grasp the contradiction of it all.

As I shared on another site, all that comes to my heart is this prayer...

“May all beings have happiness and the causes of happiness.

May all beings be free from suffering and the causes of suffering.

May all beings rejoice in the well-being of others.

May all beings live in peace, free from greed and hatred.”

May we be a witness to a miracle of peace. ☮️

AND SO IT IS ❤️

I believe it should read “grieve” where it says “agree” in the text: “I agree for the world that we could not do better than this”.

Praying for a miracle too 🙏

We must have hope, for without it we are lost.

Hope that the majority of good people in the world will see clearly the evil machinations of the power hungry few.

But yes, first I grieve 🙏😪

When will we learn to live from a point of love? In war, we all lose.

Such a complex situation! With faults on both sides. Violence is never the answer!

This is an old conflict.

Its not day 3.

Why are the media so into this spreading of fear and egoic " us vs them"?

Because the media spread unconsciousness .

They teach fear.

" A double bind is the classical procedure that God seems to have with people who are taking the spiritual journey seriously. And it's by means of these apparently impossible situations that bear no solution that one is pushed to a new level of consciousness in which one perceives the whole of reality from a new perspective, and the apparent opposites that are irreconcilable from the point of view of reason, become resolved—not rationally— but from a higher perspective that sees them as complimentary. And not in opposition."

- Thomas Keating, “Mary the Mother of God, Part I” video, (36 minutes)

As we all know only another consciousness will save this planet - we will evolve or perish. Spirit will not allow humanity to perish but it will clearly by the "awful" Grace of God that we learn wisdom.

He who learns must suffer. And even in our sleep pain that cannot forget falls drop by drop upon the heart, and in our own despair, against our will, comes wisdom to us by the awful grace of God.
