A really powerful piece Marianne, especially your point on The Law of Cause and Effect. Being able to see what America has done right and what it has done wrong is as important as reflecting on what we've done right and wrong as individuals. Everything is interconnected. Reflection takes time, but in doing so, it moves us forwardly powerfully and with the presence and purpose needed to intentionally act with care. When crisis strikes, we remember who we are, what we can do with the power we have and we why are here now - after all, our soul chose to be here at this time. "Spiritual consciousness is our greatest tool for enduring and navigating the times in which we live." Indeed!

“How much callousness toward the poor, the weak, the hungry, the sick, and the young do you think a Divinely Intelligent universe tolerates before the effects of our lovelessness comes crashing back at us?”

What’s happening outside us … is a reflection of what’s happening inside us … When we collectively clean up our thoughts and our feelings … The world will change as well !!! … Thank You !!!

Every time I read a piece like this I feel the dissonance between our national mythology and our daily reality. Yes, America has shown up for its highest ideals before, but we’ve also industrialized greed and militarized fear. The karmic invoice was always going to land on our doorstep—it’s just arriving with interest.

I’m with you that atonement has to start inside each of us, yet it can’t stop there. Personal contrition is powerful only when it fuels systemic repentance: dismantling policies that profit from endless war, closing the revolving door between Wall Street and Washington, and choosing compassion over “might makes right” in both foreign and domestic agendas.

So I’m fasting from denial. I’m doing the inventories. But I’m also calling senators, backing candidates who refuse corporate money, and supporting movements that replace retribution with repair. If gravity is non-negotiable, so is cause and effect. Better that we realign now—by choice—than let the universe balance the books for us.

Contrition, then action. That’s how we turn a spiritual insight into national course-correction.

Love your beautiful world view from a place of love and true peace for all humans. I was introduced to Marianne while attending Living Enrichment Center in Portland OR, described as “New Thought Christianity”.

The principles I learned at this church are echoed in Marianne’s writing daily. Soothes my soul,

and for that I am forever grateful. Gives me hope that the “paradigm shift” is coming!

Our international problems are not just political. They are psychological and spiritual; and there are no shortcuts for the changes in consciousness which are required. Thank you, once again, Ms. Williamson!

I have a different take on all the political propaganda in the media, the warmongering misinformation and media fearmongering.

It is used to start wars.

To generate collective unconsciousness(fear) and reactivity.

I suggest to all to stop consuming the( toxic) media.

War is hate in action, so with an absence of fear and if we generate an energy of collective love it is impossible for those that profit off war to manifest what they want in this world .

Sending out mindful practice of

Love and peace

So you think if we just don't look, it won't be happening? I think it's all happened BECAUSE we weren't looking.

I think he’s saying to stop the fear within ourselves and be the love and peace. Maybe this energy can override the hate?

The media metaverse is not reality, its a narrative of unconsciousness .

A toxic mindfood.

I am asking how do you know its really happening? Or everything is happening as they say it is?

What I am pointing at is there are those 1% that profit greatly off all the perpetual wars, the media was developed into a political tool (and its even more dangerous with AI deepfake images) .

People are reacting not responding. That is the corporate media conglomerates job, they are in the business of fearmongering.

Watching the news (without being utterly healed , whole and grounded in God) will not do any good , it will just agitate the collective mind.

This is why I am not watching it I know no good can come of me tuning into that frequency.

Sending you out love and peace.

In agreement that news is toxic propaganda and not giving us Truth. There is much to forgive, and then the work of discerning Truth from within.

I can watch the media, and feel the pain of the deluded, and love them. Do not watch if it brings despair. Angels will never ask us to do what feels wrong. In engagement, I am inspired and empowered and filled with fearless invincibility, to lift up those who are overwhelmed.

What we feed our mind is just as important as what we feed our body.

The media is a toxic mindfood.

No angel has ever asked me to watch the news or ingest media.

I am a media skeptic and I know from human history of how the media lies to people in order to promote reactivity and support the " us vs them" narrative used for wars .

Blessings to you Mark for being able to lift up those that are overwhelmed.

Perhaps we could start a National Atonement this upcoming Independence Day. Every time I see all the r/w/b stuff - even in the grocery store which is pretty much the only shopping I’m doing these days, for 4th of July celebrations I cringe. I’ve been saying we need a funeral, like the funeral for the Death of the Hippies that happened in the Haight. I was to young to go to SF back then, but I so wanted to. And that the Statue of Liberty needs a black shroud with just her eyes visible.

John Adams said he hoped that every July 4 we would revisit our First Principles. They didn't foresee cheap thrills, you're right.

Hmmmm. First principles vs cheap thrills. The fire in the heart vs the fireworks. I will think about it next Friday. I also think about the incredible VN Vets Memorial built in the city not far from where I live.

That Park is devoted to the entire Vietnam experience, an exploration of its history, an image to portray the soldier's experience, and beautiful monuments to commemorate their sacrifice.

It's a special and holy place.

If your travels ever take you to Western New York and you should stop by in Rochester, let me know and I will take you there. You will not be unmoved. I believe you will know the very special peace I know when I visit that sacred little plot of land.

If only Adams followed the 1st A. Instead he abused it, using the Alien and Sedition Acts, President Adams jailed certain outspoken critics of his Administration.
