This is the soul audit we needed. Not just a rebuke of the tyrant, but a reckoning with the soil that grew him. I’m struck by how many want to skip straight to resistance without reflecting on how our shared moral drift made space for the demagogue to rise.

Rome wasn’t sacked in a day. And neither was this democracy.

The real revolution now isn’t just in the ballot box—it’s in the mirror. In each act of civic tenderness, local solidarity, unapologetic truth-telling. We don’t just need to vote differently—we need to be different.

Let the invincible summer come not from slogans, but from people who choose conscience over comfort. Again and again.

Thank you for naming the grief and the grace.

I like this a lot. And I’d do a tweak to it. Not to admonish people but to uplift them. Get them inspired with the awesomeness of being human, where it’s in our hands to take care of Earth.

Totally with you on this notion Suzanne! Our deepest threat goes beyond even governance to the total caring of Mother Earth and her senient beings, including us! We cannot survive without coherence to Nature. So we must fight even harder than those who lived in the1930s and 1940s since we have allowed such a horrid destruction of life.

Back then it was the death of millions to rail against, and now, being threatened by the extinction of humanity requires more than firepower of us.

While the Trump presidency is the Dark Night of many, for this former Left Leaning female, the pandemic was my Dark Night. Intuition cried NO! at the masks. A visceral response to the censorship of Andrew Saul. No longer a Free America. Others felt the censorship was justified by the threat. There are many layers to how we got here. We need a Bright Light to find them all.

The Covid Vaccines are Bioweapons to harm people.

Japanese covid vaccination database for 21 million citizens has been made public

Jul 22, 2025 | ALTERNATIVE NEWS

¨The database of these 21 million records was compiled by 350 Japanese volunteers and was created through a joint project between the National Coalition for Stopping mRNA Vaccines and the Yukoku Alliance...

By analysing the 21 million records, Prof. Murakami of Tokyo Science University uncovered a disturbing peak in deaths 90–120 days after mRNA vaccination, with higher doses showing earlier death peaks. That’s right – folks who got more jabs died sooner, suggesting a cumulative toxicity that builds with each shot.

Murakami estimates that 600,000 to 610,000 Japanese may have died post-vaccination, a figure that aligns eerily with Japan’s excess death statistics. But here’s the kicker – why haven’t these deaths been plastered across headlines?...¨

Our liberal party is stuck. They have no leader right now that is strong enough to be able to act strategically with a plan — the Democratic version of Project 2025. They have everything at their disposal. They can access any smart, political strategist, analyst to help them. They need to hunker down and have a working retreat and get it together.

Correct Rebecca Suzanne, Davis doesn't apparently know or recall that Marianne Williamson has and had during her run for president in 2023-24 a fabulous platform of policies to uplift not only America but the rest of the world along with us--had only the DNC not have blocked her, along with mainstream news media. We (the people) can no longer rely upon political parties since their own interests often over rule ours. We must overcome their power and ensure that they must accept our way or we don't have a democracy--now temporarily missing.

From outside looking in (Canadian here), it occurs to me that both sides wanted Trump to win. The evidence of that for me is what the DNC did and didn't do. They DID NOT try to find the best potential candidate to challenge Trump. They did not want voters to hear what Marianne or RFKjr had to say because it would interfere with their plans. This ain't no accident.

You are right Mary: The Harm Caused by Masks

A new study suggests that the excess carbon dioxide breathed in by mask-wearers can have major health consequences. by Jeffrey H. Anderson

¨Evidence continues to mount that mask mandates were perhaps the worst public-health intervention in modern American history. While concluding that wearing masks “probably makes little or no difference” in preventing the spread of viruses, a recent Cochrane review also emphasized that “more attention should be paid to describing and quantifying the harms” that may come from wearing masks. A new study from Germany does just that, and it suggests that the excess carbon dioxide breathed in by mask-wearers may have substantial ill-effects on their health—and, in the case of pregnant women, their unborn children’s...¨

On the money, Marianne. The only thing you left out is -- we are ALL responsible for where we are at. Those politicians you want to apologize? -- they were elected by the American people. The people who cared more about personal tax cuts than living in a thriving community for all. The people who see the world through a win-lose paradigm (I win when you lose.) There's been a moral rot in American society for quite awhile, where the only true "god" that is worshipped is money.

Sad, but true Marilyn Schramm about the money aspect! We lost our major moral compass after WW2--we created the wonderful Super Middle Class; then, allowed a few folks to muddy the waters and convince too many of us that we were becoming socialistic! So allowing misinformation, even before the advent of Social Media, destroyed us. So we must now repair, with a long haul back to freedom! Best wishes to all, Joan

Thank you, Marianne. These are words of wisdom.

However, I am not against a free market and international free trade, where following sound economic principles promotes international interdependence and cooperation. Some of these principles are specialization, division of labor, competition, mass production, automation, and innovation. Following these principles can ultimately create an abundant and meaningful life for everyone.

But we need to take care of our workers who are stranded by a free market and technological innovation. We cannot abandon them, we cannot let them hang out to dry. We must provide for them and their families until they can find other work or be retrained for other work.

I am a big believer in a guaranteed minimum income for all, and guaranteed health care for all. We have more than enough wealth in this country to do that.

Thank you again for emphasizing that we need a change of heart and behavior in all of us to create a better society, not just a change in political leadership.

Joan Halgren's avatar

I concur with all you write Silverman except one topic: competition. The future wil not allow competition but a need for sharing: we cannot hoard to gain over others since our planetary resources our finite. This is one reason Thiel and Musk are so grabby--they know once the metals/minerals needed for AI, EVs, etc. are exhausted, well, we will have to return to other modes of daily living.

Trump, the MAGA politicians, Putin, and many other leaders of this time, are the Great Deceivers. They were foretold. They are anti-Christ. They are anti-Christ, as were the oppressors in Imperial Rome. They are anti, and opposed to all that a Christ taught us in the gospels, by the actions, of his life. They oppose compassion, love, light (education, etc). Instead, they rule by sowing fear in our hearts, rather than seeds of peace, wisdom, and compassion, etc.

Expand full comment
Joan Halgren's avatar

Basically, they are just big into the outmoded lifestyle of competition that will ultimately destroy them and us, along with them, if we allow it. Value ideologies are of no consequence to them--religious views, morals, or ethics--out the window but competition rules!
