Thank you for supporting Marianne in such a loving way. I wrote a long thoughtful answer to this essay after giving it a careful read, but I decided it's better not to post it here.

If I do decide to share my words publicly I'll do them on my own, page, where I have the privilege of speaking at length about public figures.

I had not heard of the book you referenced, and as someone who has worked as a nurse for four decades and has seen the changes, I look forward to reading it. You are so articulate and timely, I am grateful for all that you do (and have had to endure this year).

Love anything by the late Barbara Ehrenreich. She was such a brilliant investigator, reporter, writer. That book sounds phenomenal. Love her work. And of course that of MW.

Barbara was a genius and a great feminist. In an era of extraordinary feminist writing she was one of the best and the brightest.

Indeed! Wow. Going “under-cover” to report on living on minimum wage by really DOING it.

Such a truth teller.

I pulled this from my Facebook for you a couple of hours ago, so much synchronicity with what you wrote, it was not attributed but the title was A Medicine Woman's Prayer:

I will not rescue you.

For you are not powerless.

I will not fix you,

For you are not broken.

I will not heal you.

For I see you, in your wholeness.

I will walk with you through the darkness

As you remember your light.

Thank you Marianne, for always showing us our light and sharing yours 💛

There was a reason why people lived together in communities … A group could do what an individual could not do … And as you say, we seem to have forgotten that … People still live together in groups but the focus for many is the individual … or … “Themselves” … Part of this new birth of insight that you speak about, is realizing that our lives are better, healthier and happier when we value the people around us … and include them in our prayers … our good wishes … and our Love.

You can say that again!

Marrianne, you are steady, accurate, wise and intelligent. What the last 10 years have revealed is your tenacity and at the very same time your compassion. After the way you have been treated you could easily leave the state of our world behind and "save the one life you can." You are one of my heroines. You are relenlentless and so far beyond those damn giltwrights. Let those morons hammer away, your words will last far longer than their noxious pounding. Thank you for you, thank you for your bravery, thank you for you Light!!!!!

“The qualification for a truly effective leader at this time is not simply an ability to suppress or eradicate a symptom here or there, but rather a whole-person understanding of what went wrong and why. I believe that’s what will happen in the future, as 21st century politics will transition, as did medicine, from an allopathic to an integrative model. Like a phoenix rising from the ashes of a political system so obviously failing us now, a different kind of political leader will emerge in the United States.” ~Marianne Williamson, 16 October 2024

Yes, this is so true, and I believe you have that qualification, Marianne. Throughout both of your presidential campaigns you played an integral role in forging such a path, even if the country wasn’t quite ready for it yet. How many times have we seen/heard “more mainstream” candidates speak of the very issues you had brought up during a debate or rally? It’s so interesting to watch…little seeds are planted and over time we begin to see a shift in consciousness. We just have to remember who we are and why we’re here.

Spot on. If I were in America you’d get my vote, hands down. I can’t wait for the rise in humanity’s consciousness whereby all actions will naturally be aligned with love, ethics and peace… truly life supporting, doing no harm. 😊💛
