This was a great interview … I agree … the Religious Right selectively chooses which parts of the Bible to support and which parts to ignore … They use the Bible to support hate, racism and bigotry … Trump is following a handbook for dictators … A book written by people like Hitler, Mussolini and Castro … Our job is to push back as hard as we can … without hating those we’re pushing against !!!

Thank you. This was WONDERFUL. When I was a young organizer, one of my greatest heroes was a former priest who married a former nun and had a son. I thought they were the coolest people on the face of the Earth!

The priest's name was Clark Field. His wife was named Alice Serr. It seemed that Clark had a direct line to God. He would always plan all these outside events and it NEVER RAINED on any of Clark's events.

I loved John's line about being raised to be "progressive thinking, sexually repressed Catholics." My WWII-era parents raised me to be a "progressive thinking, sexually repressed Methodist."

At least I got the "progressive thinking," part right.

I can't wait to get John's book. I counted myself so blessed that as a Peace Corps Volunteer, I worked on a project run by a Christian mission. They always welcomed me and valued me, even thought my understandings of the teachings of Jesus of Nazareth were much more liberal than their own. I am hoping, now as a senior, to go back and work for them in retirement.

After studying and becoming a a student of ACIM for almost 20 years now - because of the outreach of you and Oprah Winfrey, Marianne - I have come to believe that if people would just live like Jesus of Nazareth (and the Buddah thanks to Thich Nhat Hahn) the world would be such a better place.

Marianne, you have always talked about MLK in your lectures as John did in this interview. He is so important to me - with all he taught and preached.

This was great. Thank you. I loved it! I hope I can be an instrument of the love of Jesus of Nazareth in my life's walk every day. I never take it for granted that I was born in the US in the mid 20th Century, when I could spread that love freely.

Thank you for substantive, quality interviews like this. You, John, James Talerico, and others are presenting the antidote to the "Christian" Nationalist cult, which as anti-Christ as anything I've ever seen.

In the light of the leader defending his and the EU border divide also being a man of comedic irony satire - not surprising - the real thinkers utilising a spiritual by-pass. But in this time transgression over a single lifetime within one is more telling - the shadow taking over the brightest light beings so very subtly. Blurring the memory of self perception…enmasse…

I don’t care about brown skin, I became prejudiced based on the entitled rude behavior of the people who shop in my store. They mess up the store, beat me up over the price, and spend $3. Oh…and don’t close the door even when it’s 11 below zero. Took me three years to educate them to close the door. And they don’t wash their hands and restaurants are making customers sick.
