Thank you for the opportunity to participate in the Year long Journey via upgrading membership. I am truly grateful. As a new ACIM student, I look forward to the year of digging deeper. 😊🙏🏾💕💐
Had written regarding scholarship and hope my upgrading here truly means I don’t need to worry about that.
Marianne, your journey continues to inspire, motivate, and astound me. Loved the recent conversation about the labor movement. If you’ve not started reading Hamilton Nolan’s columns on Substack, or his book “The Hammer”, please consider my recommendation to do so. He’d make a great interview! His writing about withholding labor as one of the pillars of social change is as organic as is possible; he grew up with parents who took laborers’ jobs so the would be on the inside of the movement in the ‘70s; he helped organize the first unionized online news organization. His writing and thinking are fresh and irreverent; deep and compelling as he connects our environmental reality of global harming and malignant capitalism as well.
Thanks for taking the long view of getting to the convention to have a voice; working from within to help create the vital change that can make running for national office a right and not privilege available for only the moneyed and corporate-sanctioned.
Have loved you for decades and stand in awe and deep appreciation of our spot-on platform you must and will take to the Convention for education and adoption. We must sanctify chosen pregnancy in this country, as other industrialized nations do with paid family leave, healthcare, brain-building and highest quality supported childcare, paid sick leave and all the other givens that are rights in other countries rightly investing in the health and wellbeing of their people over state-sponsored greed by corporations, the morbidity rich, and others who used to pay a fair share of taxes (50%) as opposed to skating as with stock buy-backs, SCOTUS-sell-out corporate personhood, “productivity science” based in the cotton fields of the 1800s when working an enslaved person to get the most — to the point of death — for the least amount of food and rest possible, was considered a winning model. Corporations enable and encourage child abuse and neglect with policies that prove this country’s disdain for parents and thus its children, with greed-based policies denying the importance of secure attachment, our need to invest in our people over taking care of CEOs making in a day what many cannot imagine making in decades. We need to create what I call “flourish envy” for the joy seen in “the world’s happiest countries” such as top-ranked Finland with its myriad supports for pregnant and parenting people.
Thanks for the space for express gratitude for your heroine’s tireless journey, and to share connections and ideas I’d love to discuss. Godspeed. 🙏🏽🦋❤️🦋
