No they aren’t elected per se their party is by acquiring the required number of seats/votes in their geographical area- the party who gains a majority of seats is then elected and whoever is the head of that party becomes the prime minister - so no prime minister has ever been elected - ie their name has never been on a election ballot - so NO - we do not elect a prime minister - we elect a their party and the party picks their leader - the prime minister needs a majority of seats from all over Canada to become prime minister …
The head of the party has to be elected in his own riding but only those in that specific geographical area get to vote them in … not everyone in the country gets to vote on prime minister because everyone has to choose / vote only from the candidates in their specific riding / geographical area … it’s always been like this

And I would think that musk could be arrested for running into Federal Offices, threatening workers and kicking them out.
