Morning Meditation Day 92
I surrender my attachment to lesser things.
I surrender my attachment to lesser things.
I know I’ve made idols of many things, thinking this or that would bring me joy. Yet only the experience of who I really am, at home at last within myself, will bring to me the peace I seek.
I surrender my attachments to people and places, riches and prestige, which my ego tells me would give me value. I know my value is alone in God. May I not be tempted to forget today that the light within me is beyond all value. I will but to remember this.
Dear God
Heal my mind
Of the false belief that I need anything more
Than to remember love.
May the toys of the world
Not tempt me to forget
The grander that is You.
Amen.

Marianne, this is a particularly poignant message of this holiday season: that we shift our perceptions from ego to truly remembering love and God--so missed, so many days on Earth! Understanding that we are complete within ourselves with God is more glorious than anything else but too many ignore the truth of themselves that cause pain and suffering to them and others around them. Let's hope for more remberance of what's true now and into 2022! Thank you Marianne for this wonderful prompt!
