MUSINGS ON THE DAY
Don't be overwhelmed. They want you to be overwhelmed. Seek instead to master the turbulence.
I thought I’d send a bit of a news wrap-up tonight, something I’ll be doing every day - along with interviews, etc. - for paid subscribers starting next week.
So much is happening. That’s on purpose of course, a shock and awe campaign designed to overwhelm us. I’ll take things I feel are meaningful to discuss on any given day, and hopefully shed some light that’s purposeful and true.
I had dinner tonight with a friend who’s a highly principled conservative, well placed in Washington DC. It was good to hear that lefties aren’t the only ones freaked out by some of what’s happening. It’s important to remember that.
I remain more than hopeful. I remain faithful. But there’s no sugarcoating the fact that we’re in a politically dangerous situation. On one hand, the only thing that’s shocking about it is that anyone is shocked. On the other hand, it’s shocking. It simply is.
Let’s remember to take care of ourselves, and of each other. Eat your veggies, take your vitamins, do your yoga or whatever. We’re got a long haul in front of us. We must be absolutely committed to saving our democracy. Our country is in crisis and it needs us.
This substack means a lot to me; I’m honored to have your attention. I send you sincere affection with every word and every video. You’re my community.
Have a beautiful night.
*Note: In the video, I misspoke and said “President Andrew Johnson” when I meant to say “President Andrew Jackson.” Sorry!

You can take that to the bank, ma'am.
Have a good night. Sweet dreams. 💟🌈🦋
