Nope 👎 we are not going to let a handful of tech billionaires, who are emotionally stunted and stuck in post adolescence, have their way with our government and world. We are the mass, and they are the few.
A leader inspires people to do good things that never occurred to them.
The obvious social challenge is making democracy work in America.
But, like it or not, there are two additional existential threats.
1. We are destroying ourselves ecologically, and need to vastly reduce industrial production if we are to avoid the worst of coming ecological disasters.
2. We are in a renewed arms race. The terrifying prospect is that this will end in nuclear annihilation.
There is virtually no public conversation at these levels. More than conversation, our challenge is to mobilize thoughtful public will to transform our destructive system.
This is an evolutionary process – helping people think more realistically, and also functioning better emotionally. It will take a multitude actively working to affect public consciousness if we are to make a difference.
‘How the environmental-progressive movement can become more influential’ is a platform to support regular people, such as those of us who follow your posts with interest, in communicating to affect mainstream mindsets.

Our focus needs to be on expanding and safeguarding unions. Case in point, screenwriters guild protects screenwriters by making AI available only to writers, not producers who could replace every single human being involved in the creative, collaborative process. It's best used for structure, not character development which needs human creativity. If producers hands were untied, they could have the computer write the scripts, no need to hire actors, just compile them from available human features and voice tones, probably a monotone result eliminating the human element where the magic happens.
