I believe Marianne may be able to help resolve a lot of world issues by the way she can discuss issues. I hope she may have a future on the world stage.

I am praying and pleading with her to make this her life work for the remainder of her time as a public writer. Forget about running for office, RUN WITH THIS ISSUE AND BUILD A PEACE COALITION TO ADDRESS IT. I pray, heart, pray. Then pray some more that this unfolds.

AMEN, THANK YOU M.W. FOR CONTINUING TO ACT ON THE BEHALF OF THE AMERICAN PEOPLE, SEEKING TRUTH, PEACE, JUSTICE, HONESTY, & RESPONSIBILITY FOR AND FROM THE PEOPLES OF THE 'US OF A'; AND OF HUMANITY. LOVE & GOD SPEED TO YOU AND ALL WHO SERVE THE WELL-BEING OF THOSE LIVING ON THIS EXTRAORDINARY PLANET WHICH GIVES US OUR PHYSICAL LIFE. WE STILL HAVE FREE- WILL-CHOICE, BUT WE HAVE BEEN TRAINED VERY EFFECTIVELY NOT TO USE IT TO SERVE GOODNESS AND WELL-BEING FOR ALL.

Whether the conflict ends now or continues, I will remember this as the time the world stood back and allowed the murder of innocence in the name of revenge. Sad, very sad and tragic. My heart goes out to the innocent people. May all learn forgiveness so that they have a foundation on which to rebuild their lives.

Did Nuremberg only mean to discourage war criminals if they were members of certain religions but not others?

We agree! Your readers may be interested by the work of Nitsan Joy Gordon and her colleagues for peace in Israel, a peace we must try to achieve by healing the wounds on both sides...

Read her report from near the Lebanese border, published in the Jerusalem Post:

"Confronting hate with compassion: A powerful encounter at the clinic". When confronted with deep-seated anger, a simple act of empathy leads to a powerful moment of healing and understanding. https://www.jpost.com/opinion/article-817162

Nitsan is the author of the book: "Together Beyond Words - Women on a Quest for Peace in the Middle East" https://leseditionsdunona.com/en/together-beyond-words-eng/

Beautiful analysis. Eloquently stated.

May there yet be established that cabinet level department of peace Marianne campaigned on and may she be the first dep't secretary with the mission of finding that field of Rumi's.

“None of this horror comes out of nowhere.” … There’s a saying .…“What's on the outside is an expression of what’s on the inside” … We … (all of us) … need to cleanup up our inner worlds … before we can expect to see peace in our outer world … We need to become the embodiment of peace … love … and harmony … before we can expect to see those values expressed in the world we live in …

It seems to me that if we have to wait for the world to become more loving to solve this tragedy, it will be too little ,too late. The biggest part of the problem is the Jewish /Israeli lobby buying the loyalty of most of our representatives, coaxing them to continue funding this genocide. We NEED real campaign finance reform.

"If America’s creed is that “all men are created equal,” then that doesn’t mean only Americans. (or only White Americans). Only by returning to our own core values can the United States be an honest broker in the Middle East." - The United States has to BE the change it wants to see in the world - first within our own boundaries before we can dictate that to others out in the world. Unfortunately, the people in the world seem to be treating others the way we all hate being treated instead of treating each other in the ways we would like to be treated. How do we turn that around?

A compelling and beautiful read! Thank you!

I find the following quotes to be compelling:

"You never change things by fighting the existing reality. To change something, build a new model that makes the existing model obsolete.” - R. Buckminster Fuller

“When a complex system is far from equilibrium, small islands of coherence in a sea of chaos have the capacity to shift the system to a higher order.” - Nobel Laureate Ilya Prigogine

It is clear that what is needed are world stage leaders and collaborators who truly represent the hearts, minds, and souls of We, the People at large, everywhere, and are truly capable of building a peace coalition and shifting the "system" to a higher order! Surely, with your brilliance and vision, Marianne, you are such a leader who offers the world stage a new model and an island of coherence! There also are many organizations with compelling ideas to be brought to the fore and with which to collaborate regarding the Israeli Palestinian conflict, etc. Among them include: https://www.alandforall.org/english/, https://www.afcfp.org/, https://afsc.org/, https://beyondwords.org.il/, https://ecf.org.il/issues/issue/1541, https://www.tikkun.org/, https://wilpfus.org/news/take-action-stop-bloodshed-gaza-and-israel, https://marianne2024.com/issues/us-dept-of-peace/, https://pathwaystopeace.org/, https://www.humanrights.com/what-are-human-rights/universal-declaration-of-human-rights/, https://www.amnesty.org/, https://www.thespiritofubuntu.us/, http://www.consciousevolutionboston.org/Peace-Room.html, http://www.consciousevolutionboston.org/The-World-We-Know-In-Our-Hearts-Is-Possible.html. May we co-create the world we know in our hearts is possible; a free, peaceful, healthy, just, collaborative, life-empowering, and regenerative world where we all thrive! Thank you, Marianne, for keeping the vision and for all you do to help manifest it!
