Kind of fun watching the propagandists who told us Trump had no power to call in the National Guard on January 6 try to undo that or make up something else, like he tried to call them but Nancy Pelosi wouldn't let him. So lame. Now he's even appointed one of the rioters he incited to a position in the DOJ. This is just so wonky and backwards. His whole administration should be categorized as a domestic terrorist group. It's what they are.

Your source? you might want to check out the Capital Hill police chief Steven Sund posting that Pelosi refused National Guard backup on Jan 6.

Your source is incorrect as are the other multiple sources making that same claim. See https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/pelosi-national-guard-capitol/

It is in his book, so he lied in his own book?

He was mistaken and that was not his testimony at the time. You can say anything you want in a book, but under oath that is not what he said: "It should also be noted that Steven A. Sund, then-U.S. Capitol Police chief, Paul D. Irving, then-House sergeant-at-arms, and Michael C. Stenger, then-Senate sergeant-at-arms, have all testified about the events of Jan. 6, and none of them insinuated that they were prevented from calling the National Guard by congressional leadership." He just posted on X @ChiefSund 22 hours ago the same message that her Sergeant at Arms denied his requests presumably directed by Pelosi. So he's still lying according to you.

The seat of Congress and the streets of DC are two different jurisdictions for executive day-to-day management.

Maybe it would be good to focus on how to fix a problem rather than reflexively denying a problem because one's enemy acted on it (the enemy they hilariously *created* in 2016, and were left like Wile E. Coyote when it blew up in their faces). But goodness knows how adept my once-home Democrats have become at self-destructive denial.

"With the Constitution now under assault, our democracy is under assault, which means our rights are under assault, which means our freedom as Americans is under assault."

Exactly. But it's been going on *steadily* for twenty-four years, through Democratic and Republican administrations and Congresses. Sadly, we've failed *every* test trampling on our freedoms since 2001, nearly all our politicians have cucked out, and only the grass-roots rebellions that threw the uncontrollably-narcissistic, blunt-instrument, Hail-Mary-pass Trump twice (or was it three times?) had any effect on waking up the powers that be. Obviously those powers are *still* rubbing their eyes to figure out what's going on. DON'T BE THEM.

So if this catches you by surprise, and you think instead it was caused by some sudden mystery emergence of Neanderthal troglodytes in 2016, then it's certainly time to wake up and exit your bubble.

MW, where were you when I could not treat my patients with meds that we knew worked in hospital for Covid? I probably lost my job despite 10 years at same hospital for asking too many Qs. CONFORM cuz Dr. Fauci says so! So many died that should not have.

Please understand, my love and respect for you is so deep and so constant that nothing can alter it.

My greatest love and appreciation for you comes from the brave and selfless work you did during the AIDS pandemic.

At the time it seemed to me that only you and Princess Diana understood the essential humanity of those people or their fundamental need for touch and care and nurture.

You will always be for me an exceptional human being because of the work you did at that time.

Thank you. Thank you for it.

There are no both sides in the science of epidemiology Marianne.

The things this woman claims to have been effective for covid-19 were proved to be ineffective.

I know you want to be on the side of those who question the power and motives of the pharmaceutical industry, but on this particular issue, the things these people wanted to introduce to a hospital environment were bogus. Unscientific. Literally unethical. And their slander of Dr Anthony Fauci is the slander of a remarkable man who threw his life into studying the AIDS virus and coming up with vaccines that rescued the very same people you reached out to love and to heal and to feed during the AIDS pandemic.

Over a million people died from covid-19 most of them people of color without resources, or people of color who were working in the service industry to save the lives of others. These white vaccine exceptionalists forget that.

The death numbers from covid were horrendous. The vaccines may not have been perfect for every receiver but they were damned effective for a lot of people and they literally saved millions of lives. Millions.

Ivermectin could not and would not.

I'm listening ... looking for a way to resist and leaning in -

I will reach out to my local activist contact who influenced our purple county in PA to land in the Blue in 2024.

This IS a Revolution! We need musicians, writers, dancers, artists to spread the message to help reach everywhere.

I feel nauseous every time I hear of another decronstruct action followed by a new political manipulative move. War against Americans by Americans ... such disgrace!

It must be very demoralizing and stressful to be trying to function in DC these days. The American public must rise to our own needs now. We cannot expect to correct the path of this nation without getting involved in some way. We CAN influence events by staying true to our highest values and visions. This nation has a Purpose that has not yet been totally fulfilled, One Nation, Indivisible, with Freedom, Equality, Justice, and Opportunity for All. We Will Not Allow This Vision To Die.

You can have people understand the consequences. You can have people understand the cause. You can even have people understand what they can do about. But you can't make people responsible, and that's the ingredient required for action. Responsibilty can't be given, only taken. And your words prompt people to begin confronting their responsibility in the matter. And that is a tremendous contribution. Thank you.
