Two days ago the President told Greg Bovino, former “commander at large” of Border Patrol, to leave Minneapolis. He’s replaced him as head of ICE operations in Minneapolis with Border Czar Tom Homan, who I pointed out yesterday was just as mendacious but not as full on dictator mode.
I fear I might have been wrong.
Speaking on Hannity on FOX News about his new assignment in Minneapolis, Homan had this to say:
First of all, the operation? Yeah, I’m extemely happy. And this should come as no surprise to the American people…I made a promise we would flood the zone of every sanctuary city in this country and bring tens thousands of more agents because of the Big Beautiful bill. Why Minneapolis? Because billions of dollars of fraud have been uncovered.
Tim Walz says he’s not going anywhere? Well neither am I. Neither is President Trump. Neither is Pam Bondi. Neither is Kristi Noem….
That show is going on the road.
So if Democrats are having a fit now, you better get counseling. Because it’s about to get a hell of a lot of bigger throughout this nation…..this show is going on the road….I actually think Minneapolis is just the tip of the iceberg. I think we’ll find a hell of a lot more in Illinois, New York, California, we’ll see…

So there is so much to unpack here.
First of all, what about going after the violent criminals? Homan thinks if you’re here illegally, no matter what, then you should be treated in the same way as the violent criminal - as in, deported immediately. But that narrative is apparently losing its appeal. Now they’re changing their PR, saying they need thousands of federal agents to go after “all the fraud.”
That one is very interesting, because you don’t go after financial crimes with armed agents wearing military gear. You go after them with forensic accountants, regulatory specialists, and prosecutors wearing business suits. The idea of ICE agents roaming the streets looking for fraud is ludicrous.
Secondly, legitimate law enforcement doesn’t travel around the country looking for crimes, which is what Homan suggested. “I think we’ll find a hell of a lot more in Illinois, New York, California….” Ah, I see. Billions of dollars in taxpayer money will now go toward armed agents roaming the streets looking for…well they don’t know exactly what yet, but they’re sure they’ll find something! Fraud! So much fraud! So much corruption in all those Democratic strongholds, huh Mr. Homan? I’m sure nothing’s going on in Florida or Texas.
And this is the same crowd that blocks any and all attempts to route out financial crimes committed regularly and systemically by a billionaire corporate donor class who feast regularly on the corruption of certain politicians like you-know-who.
You couldn’t make this stuff up, yet it’s horrifyingly real.
Homan allegedly accepted $50,000 in cash from undercover FBI agents in exchange for promises of federal contracts, by the way. Unsurprisingly, the White House squashed the case and said this had just been an effort to “entrap” a Trump loyalist. Which still doesn’t mean he didn’t do it! Another day, another sad reminder that we have sunk so very low.
Adding more jaw drop to the mix, Attorney General Pam Bondi told Minnesota’s Governor, Tim Walz, that she’d make him a deal: ICE will leave Minneapolis if he’ll turn over the state’s voter rolls. The U.S. Constitution makes it very clear that the states are in charge of elections, and Minnesota’s Secretary of State Steve Simon gave the attorney General an appropriate response: No. way.
It’s clear to people now what we’re dealing with, not only in Minneapolis but around the country. Yet we, the American People, are become stronger in our resolve each day. The majority of Americans are not in agreement with the cruelty and mendacity of this administration, and we will stand in our commitment to justice, to mercy, and to love. This is going to be a long haul - we all know that - but love will win. There is too much goodness in the American people for me to believe otherwise. Every day I see our goodness rise.
This issue needs to be handled by removing the source of the lie about immigrants, and that's Trump. Then also remove all of his poor choices. It needs to be done and should be done immediately in order to uphold and defend the U.S. Constitution, particularly Article II, Section 4.
