Thank you Marianne! I needed to hear this with my recent conversation with my husband. We need a Department of Peace! Just the vibrational tone of the title would change the ethers.
We are waging "violence," every day in so many ways. When we do it with guns and missiles and bomb it becomes more blatant.
We wage violence, when our love of power allows us to encourage corporate profit over human welfare.
We wage violence as the corporation spreadsheets' profit columns grow bigger and bigger while their employees wages grow smaller and smaller. Their workers cannot put food on the table, educate their children, care for their elderly.
We wage violence when we refuse to enact human kindness toward others .
We wage violence when we teach our children that their safety and we'll being is found in self interest rather than human compassion.
We act this way and then wonder why it all ends in a violent war.
What you’re describing resonates with a lot of people right now. There’s a level of intensity in the world that can feel overwhelming, even disorienting at times.
But when I zoom out, I don’t just see “insanity”—I see a pattern that has repeated throughout history. Periods of disruption, tension, and uncertainty often come right before meaningful change. They feel chaotic when you’re inside them, but they’re not without purpose.
At the same time, recognizing the bigger picture doesn’t mean we sit back and accept everything as it is.
Moments like this ask something more of us. They ask us to stay grounded and to speak with clarity. To think critically, not reactively. And to use our voices in a way that actually reflects truth, not just emotion.
I’ve walked through seasons where everything felt out of alignment, and what I learned is this: we don’t restore order by getting pulled into the noise—but we also don’t create change by staying silent.
There’s a responsibility here.
To stay anchored in who we are, and to hold those in positions of power accountable—not through chaos, but through steady, clear, and unwavering truth.
Not everything is as simple as it appears on the surface. There are layers we may not fully see yet. But that doesn’t remove our role in shaping what comes next.
If anything, this moment is an invitation—to rise with both discernment and courage.
Because while the world may feel unsettled, we are not powerless within it.
This is exactly right. Thank you for it - for laying it out so clearly.
There is a dance here between being grounded and sober in our witnessing and assessment of what’s going on, while also zooming out to hold a bigger picture knowing of where we are at within this creative/civilization life cycle.
Like you said, this doesn’t mean passivity or inaction. Instead it requires a type of spiritual maturity that helps us live into the nuances and find right action, right response in the moment. And the next, and the next..
There’s something unique here, I believe, being in this age of awareness where we have such a keen understanding of where we are in this larger cycle. I’m constantly pondering and feeling inspired by this awareness. How to usefully leverage it to help us guide ourselves through this stage
I fear we are at the beginning of the end. We are killing each other in our schools and malls, wherever we gather, with no determination to control these weapons. We are killing our planet, with toxic chemicals, greenhouse gases and now the bombings in the middle East and Ukraine. We never stop, we just change course. I fear for the survival of our planet and our people.
If Congress had done its duty and removed Trump when he posted the racist Obama meme, this war would not have started. It was all Trump, alone, and people willing to do what he says without the least bit of examination or thought. Congress -- or I should say Republican Senators in particular and the Cabinet, should all be removed for what they have allowed to be done to this country at the hands of a totally obvious, in-your-face, corrupt, demented man. It is dereliction of their duty as American citizens, let alone as members of Congress, to have allowed this to happen by not removing this treasonous, corrupt administration.
Hi Marianne, I grew up listening to Bob Dylan’s song “ Masters of War” in the early 1960s as a little kid.. I understand the meaning as a 7 year old.. the war machine lobbyists are definitely winning the War..So are the big Oil lobbyists.. I know a war machine contractor. He is stupid rich in Camarillo Ca… I totally agree with your beautiful post.. if you put a cigar in our hand peace sign ✌🏿 , and a briefcase full of cash .. that’s is what we a fighting.. we need your dept of Peace ☮️
What if the likeliest extraterrestrials are not biological beings, but AI lifeforms, and what if humanity is building the very systems through which such an intelligence could enter our world? This essay explores artificial intelligence as threshold, vessel, warning, and possible doorway to first contact. https://essayx.substack.com/p/the-door-we-are-building
Thank you Marianne! After reading these words of yours, I don’t feel quite so alone in this timeline.
“There are clowns to the left and jokers to the right and here we are trapped in the middle” - where most of us are struggling to do our best just to survive this chaotic insanity.

Instead they renamed the DoD the Department of War. ACIM equates defense to attack anyway 🤷♀️
Grateful for your voice Marianne. The voice of truth. If only the cost of these wars were invested into a department of peace…

Thank you for continuing to speak out!
Been saying it forever. You attract a lot more bees with honey than with cruise missiles.
Hee hee! Love this!

I love this! Thank you
Love, love, love this post! It is brilliant. My hope is it is shared widely .
Men are the 'half' of the human species who have always waged war. It's time to put women in charge.

Karma is being delivered on a sliver platter to the US and Israel. It’s possible colonialism is in the “Find Out” period of history.
Well said. Marianne. When will we wake up? Peace across the land will be humanity's survival.
When will this inhumanity and madness end?
I fear it will end with a violent bomb.
:( .... :(

Whatever you put your attention towards expands.
Department of War v Department of Peace.
I’ll take the latter.
Thank you for being a voice calling attention to the insanity.

So, so true, Marianne! We must wage peace. Thank you! 🙏🏻💕
Wage it every day in ways big and small.
