Universal health-care without an adequate population of health-care professionals is also peril~izing. A well crafted and an all inclusive health-care system must be well run with only the people's welfare as motivation. If it is not then there is nothing to boast about. We can list the countries around the globe that espouse Universal health-care and hold them up as models, and review and acknowledge there are many cracks and down right holes as it now stands. Canada and Britain spring quickly to mind as examples. It is definitely times of emergencies and crisis. According to World Food Program’s 400 million dollars is needed as more people will starve on our Planet. It’s an emergency alright!
Our governmental agencies should be in business to assist it's clients with the tools and skills to live happy, thriving lives - instead of being in the business of creating dependency that keeps people in survival mode. Our government agencies need people to continue getting funding so they don't want them to become self-sufficient and move out of the system - they will lose money if that happens.
I hope you will change the dysfunctional medical system( with record numbers of ill) to a health care system. The teaching of ACIM is that illness is caused by the unhealed unwhole mind.

Marianne is spot on regarding unnecessary human suffering and the need for charity and just governmental policies. As our nation has surged in population, well, it's unrealistic to think that charity alone can lift up those needing help for the basics of daily living. Good governance can uplift everyone together and that's why I support Williamson for president--she gets it! Her talent is seeing the macro picture as well as having first-hand experience trying to help ameliorate today's challenging societal problems.
I'm thinking she should do more of this: "The amelioration of unnecessary suffering is a calling of the soul." This is her strength, her difference from all the other candidates, and an education humanity needs about the nobility of humans.

So MW needs to stick to words, like 'ethics' 'moral imperative', etc. But I am with you since studying with some systems scientists/paradigm leaders, who also agree with you too. Hopefully, we can still save the planet when folks realize we are all in this together with "all being equal" within the Cosmos and under the stars shining bright!
I'd like to see her educate "voters" to modern science where we're in a quantum universe not a Newtonian one, here to get it that we are soul stuff and not just materialists. However, at this juncture during a political cycle it may come across as too fringe but I know her talk of ending the status quo is a good secular way to help us get to a better place that's part of the new renaissance. We can help by trying to interject these ideas as suitable.
I don't want to belabor this to death but she is so far from being taken seriously that I'd say she should step up how unique she is in dealing with the fundamental change we need as a way to get her attention and appreciation that just "good policies" won't get her.
I share your concern, and she could interview someone on this angle during her FireLight Chats; then, bring up any valuable/actionable points from the interview during her campaign speeches on various topics where she could emphasize new scientific knowledge. Indeed, she faces a huge challenge and should use this campaign opportunity to help advance a paradigm shift that needs to escalate for the sake of all on this planet.

The U.S. focuses heavily on short-term profits while other countries do not; plus, we are more an individualist society instead of a collective one--as most are in Europe, etc., whereby people are criticized for not being considerate of others needs beyond their own. American Zoetroper, I approach life seriously and have a lingering hope that humanity will realize we are one and not separate entities to compete with or destroy each other. I also realize if my 'dream' for a better existence is only that, well, the game is over.
I intend to live out my life as best I can while thinking, somehow, people will get it! I know the situation is grim; yet, I cannot falter for the sake of those around me who need the courage to live well beyond my years if that is even possible. Finally, collective mobilization can work! I think of WW2 as an example of triumph over hideous, destructive forces.
