As we approach the miracles of these Holy Holidays I’m reminded of the story of the Hanukkah miracles….The temple was destroyed but the light of the menorah still burned brightly for 8 more days…. This is our time to be the light and the people we are meant to be to keep the light burning… doing our part to stop the destruction of our country, our world and all of its inhabitants …. Yes!!! "Heaven and Nature Sing," is one of the most beautiful and powerful Miraculous expression joining rhe language of words and the language of music, in my opinion. Love, love, love singing those words!!!!
This is a beautiful prayer. And here in the US most news updates end with the current position of the stock market. It is interesting to note that in teaching how to make the world a better and more loving place Jesus of Nazareth taught us where to invest our love and energy not our money!
There’s something almost comforting about Marianne saying the quiet part out loud. The world isn’t ending. The bullshit is. And the universe is politely asking us to quit pretending we don’t hear the alarm.
Modernity sold us the myth of a neutral cosmos so we could behave like feral toddlers with credit cards. But the bill always comes due. Nature is patient, not passive. Spirit is merciful, not blind.
Blessings on anyone brave enough to admit our “best thinking” dug the hole and only a different kind of thinking gets us out. Catastrophe or miracle isn’t a prophecy. It’s a menu.
Personally, it’s a miracle that this particular post showed up in my feed when it did. Less than 48 hours ago, in a moment of clarity, I finally outlined what I hope will become my book - on this same topic! I speak about it differently of course - in my case I begin with “Humanity is at an inflection point,” but it’s the same idea. I’ve been struggling getting started with my writing/blogging for some time now, and I see your post here as a validation of my ideas, and therefore inspiration for me to put my stuff out there. Well said Marianne. So many familiar systems are failing now and it is time for deep redesign, the shift toward a restoration economy and ecological civilization. Not sure if we'll make that shift by choice or be forced to through widespread collapse and catastrophe. I keep working for the former as do you.

Natural intelligence, human nature... is our innate connectedness, oneness, and unity. However, we tend to learn and acquire an operating perception of not being innately connected, rather as separate from all else, from other people. This perceived separation is an erronious perception accepted as real in our mental operating system, leading us to think and act 'as-if' separation is the true reality... well it is for whoever accepts it as such.
We humans operate through the perceptions about life and self that we accept as real, whatever it may be.
Perceived separation is the root of all human-caused discord, abuse, harm, and destruction.
Realizing, or re-realizing, our innate connection with 'All That Is' is the key to living from the perception and perspective of oneness, unity, cooperation, and compassion.
As individuals living in unity consciousness tend to value, honor, and respect all people and treat them with care and consideration as they are going about doing for themselves.
While individuals living 'as-if' separate from others tend to devalue other people of their choosing, treating them as lesser in value, with dishonor and disrespect, and having little to no care or consideration for how their exclusively self-serving behaviors affect anyone else.
Our "rethink" will lead us to the 'Foundational Perceptions About Life and Self' that individuals operate from as their reality. Perceived Separation is "The Human Problem"... else are symptoms. Yet we commonly only focus on the symptoms, calling them problems, and wondering why we never correct them... because we don't actually go to the root issue, the problem of an individual's "Operating Perceptions".
Most if not all, human-caused issues will dissipate as more individuals shift from operating as separate to connected.
Choose to look at how you can focus on and function as innately connected with everyone.
Gosh did I ever need this-thank you. I’m so grateful to my sufi community of spiritual study, prayer, practices and meditation as an antidote to the horror I feel when reading the news. It’s constant awareness to react in love vs fear, I’m not always successful but my little world gives plenty of opportunities.
As indicated below, there is a reason why the most enduring lights shine in the darkest of times. We may very well suffer greatly, as a species, and it will be because of collective choices, exacerbated by the greedy and the feckless among us. Baha'ullah, however, teaches that mankind will have Divine Guidance, in one form or another, for at least another 500,000 years. Our world will look far different, and soon-but what it looks like is entirely up to us.

Natural intelligence, human nature... is our innate connectedness, oneness, and unity. However, we tend to learn and acquire an operating perception of not being innately connected, rather as separate from all else, from other people. This perceived separation is an erronious perception accepted as real in our mental operating system, leading us to think and act 'as-if' separation is the true reality... well it is for whoever accepts it as such.
We humans operate through the perceptions about life and self that we accept as real, whatever it may be.
Perceived separation is the root of all human-caused discord, abuse, harm, and destruction.
