Dear Australia. Many in the US agree completely with you; the majority according to polls. We would like to see everyone, all nations, to stop kowtowing to this fool. The world court could help, too, along with world leaders. For many of us we are doing all we can against these domestic terrorists working with orders direct from that fool. Because we all accept that we are a nation with laws, it is cumbersome, but all-out counter terrorism opens a more dangerous door. So we pray, we protest, we support leaders who do their part, each in our own way. Meanwhile let this be a lesson, if it can happen here, it will continue to be a danger to the world.
Yes, very true, and very well put. But it is not as if the rest of us are saints. I am a European living in New Zealand, and both there and here, there is a lot, a lot, of injustice and inequality happening. Increasingly. Funds are taken away from the community, from those who most need it, simple things, like libraries and continuing education. Housing and health care too. The original indigenous people slowly further marginalised. No deranged psychopaths here (I think, I hope) but we, too, should atone and radically change our course, so as not to become the breeding ground for one.
Dear Marianne, as I was reading today’s acim lesson “ my attack thoughts are attacking my invulnerability “ trying to understand its meaning, I kept thinking of trump, and how it seems he feels totally able to attack and remain invulnerable…, as when he said years ago that he could shoot someone on 5th avenue and get away with it ( or something like that), and look what he’s unleashed on this country now. Could you help me understand this? 🙏
I was coming at it from a slightly different angle. If we put all our energy into attacking our enemies ( Trump, ICE) we are weakening our own resolve to spread and counter with love. If it is true that, " My attack thoughts are attacking my invulnerability," it also means my attack thoughts lesson my strength as a spiritual warrior.
Todays lesson was like a clarion bell! I am so grateful for ACIM!!!!!!

Thank you for this sobering reminder that we have all contributed in some fashion, either directly with our words or actions or indirectly through our inaction and turning away. I’ve been paying attention to all the times that my thoughts have been judgmental and hateful towards what I see, hear or read about current events and calling it bad, mean, cruel, etc. Feeling grateful that I’m not like that. Those thoughts create feelings that create justification for ignoring the news. If I turn away, I am taking care of myself so that I might be a more loving presence. I’m realizing that a balance is needed between the two, not all or none. I realize too, that my thoughts need to be aimed at love and sending them to all involved. Sending them to the president and all who support his agenda. I’m not fooling myself. I have work to do! I atone for all my unloving thoughts and all the times I hid from looking at what is painful. ♥️

Marianne, I feel like we need Ghandi and MLK wisdom right now. We need to practice loving our enemies. We need to practice loving kindness. We must be spiritual warriors. It is the only thing that will give us the strength we need to overcome the hatred that is flooding our communities right now!
Bishop Barber from moral mondays speaks of these things. He's gathered all faith leaders & has gone to DC many times as well as many states. He was arrested for praying at the capital in 2025 along with others. He's on substack. He's part of SAM- Save America movement!
Maybe you'd like him too. It's definitely a moral movement. We are a country with so much pain from the past & present.
I've been following the monks walking for peace. Studying their faith which is not organized religion. It's beautiful!
Marianne, I find myself not able to stop resisting in letters, calls, grassroots groups,etc. witnessing the horror. It's psychological warfare from the regime to break all of us! I've done this since January 2025 with no day off. It's affected my body (chronic illnesses) I do know better than to do this but I'm afraid to stop helping in anyway I can.

Alright, I’m saying this as an Australian who is absolutely sick to
death of watching the world hold its breath every time this blabbering
blubbering blithering blustering buffoon opens his grotesque mouth.
You see folks, as far as I can tell, from the outside, this is what it
looks like: America has elected a man who talks and behaves like a
megalomaniac, and the rest of the planet is supposed to just trust
that he won’t completely lose his grip on reality and drag us all into
catastrophe.
You want to steal Greenland.
You want Cuba to “make a deal before it’s too late”.
You talk about bombing or invading Mexico.
You kidnap a President and knock off the people's oil in Venezuela.
You joke about annexing Canada like it should be a shopping centre car
park you can just claim because you feel like it.
Do you have any idea how insane that sounds to the rest of us?
This isn’t tough talk. This isn’t strategy. This is a deeply unstable
old man threatening sovereign nations like he’s flipping over a
Monopoly board because he’s losing. This is not normal behaviour. This
is not leadership. This is not strength. This is a walking, talking
international crisis.
And Americans, this is where it comes back to you. Not just MAGA, not
just the people who voted for him, all of you. Because when the
President of the United States starts talking about kidnapping
leaders, annexing countries, and issuing ultimatums like a mob boss,
the rest of the world doesn’t get a vote. We just get the
consequences.
You don’t get to shrug and say, “Well I didn’t vote for him.” That
might fly at a dinner party, but it doesn’t fly when nuclear powers
are watching this circus and recalculating their own red lines. This
is your system. Your presidency. Your responsibility.
From the outside, it looks like America lit the fuse and then wandered
off while everyone else stands around the bomb wondering who’s going
to cut the wire.
And let’s be brutally honest. This man is nearly 80. He’s frail. He’s
clearly deteriorating. He is not some long term visionary playing
chess. He’s at the end of his lifespan and acting like nothing matters
after him. That is the most dangerous type of leader there is. A man
with nothing to lose and an ego that demands constant feeding.
Why should the rest of the world pay for that?
Why should families in Europe, Asia, Australia, South America,
anywhere, have to worry about war, trade collapse, energy shocks, or
global instability because America couldn’t get its own house in
order?
This is not about left or right anymore. This is about basic sanity.
This is about stopping a psychopath before he does something
irreversible. Because once a war starts, once a country gets invaded,
once alliances fracture beyond repair, you don’t get a reset button.
So yes, this falls on Americans. You got the world into this mess, and
you damn well better roll your sleeves up and get us out of it.
Impeach him. Remove him. Contain him. Do whatever your system allows,
but do it fast.
Because the rest of us just want to live our lives, raise our
families, pay our bills, and not wake up one morning to find out World
War Three started because an unhinged old man wanted to feel powerful
one last time.
