How about a coup to install a presidential team? Let's say Heather Cox Richardson, Joyce Vance, Anne Applebaum, and Marianne Williamson. These are ones I follow, and there are other great women, too. And maybe more than four to do this. Just picture such warm, intelligent, and human-loving human beings leading the way. If they state that they are taking charge, so many millions would be on the streets in Washington that we couldn’t be thwarted.
Sorry, not that I think a military coup is remotely a good tactic, but there is such thing as an arrest and coordination with the ICC to hold rogue governments accountable. It is normalizing the most heinous crimes known to man. We cannot permit this normalization of these horrid events that have taken place. But I am not sure as,a pacifist, if we can make them stop. Elections are a great panacea; however, I am not sure that all the tricks they have up their sleeves would make this easy. Like recently they told the Governor of Minnesota that they would pull ICE out of Minnesota, if Minnesota handed them all of their voter registration roles! Who does that? It’s pure unadulterated thuggery at play here! He will stop at nothing as most fascists operate this way. Plus I am not sure that he isn’t going to get us involved in Iran. That would be a big American mistake. We lost all of the War Games concerning Iran. It’s simply too mountainous. And they are more powerful than any country estimated previously. This indicates something rotten that is more widespread in our society and civilisation. We need to do some self-examination as a society to figure out what is causing this and find the answer.
Is it a genetic mutation, like hemophilia or albinism, that people need to be treated for? Is it the result of choosing to allow unhealthy thoughts to dwell in your mind? Is it a by product of dysfunctional moral codes that are used to control people for other reasons but have these side effects? I do not know these answers but this dysfunction seems to me to be too widespread to think that simple suppression and punishment will lead to a healthy society.
This sounds simple, but my thoughts are that when we live in create, a society with extremes of poverty and extremes of wealth then extreme behaviour will abound. I find extreme wealth utterly obscene, also I find extreme poverty just as obscene. From these positions we should not be surprised that in the midst of such dysfunction there will arise dysfunctional and amoral behaviour. It’s a debatable subject for sure..
