Marianne, I am cynical too when it comes to the D.C. bubble. Here's my take on your dialogue:

> Your guest was being mostly diplomatic while trying, perhaps, preserve his own interests, and

>I agree with you that our immoral war crimes are "now an industry"!

>We need to drastically transform our educational, governance, economic, and social systems while making 'peace' profitable--outlawing war (a failed strategy)! (Your idea with Dennis Kucinich to establish a Department of Peace is still a beautiful one: it's an evolutionary step needed on Earth.) And I am glad you cited the military's role in green house gas emissions.

>The people are sadly duped a lot about our military entanglements.

>We need thrivable action from leaders at the top, like you, and from the 'collective' or whole, including a peaceful uprising of the people--encompassing those at the bottom of the wrung too--all lovingly joining together to move us forward; otherwise, we face collapse and extinction. It's that simple and yet that complex too, and we cannot give up as long as we still breathe!

> Finally, Marianne, I am glad you are continuing to shed awareness regarding our patriarchal, antiquated war-like behavior--we need your matriarchal insights to get us toward balance and a third-way to live and love that goes beyond 'ether or' to 'and, and, and and'! Bravo for this interview albeit it's not an easy topic to consume before bedtime! Peace!

“I’m very glad that you are here in Washington to raise these issues because, quite frankly, we don’t have enough voices saying the kinds of things you say…speaking these kinds of iconoclastic truths to people..” Amen, Joe! It’s why I’m a patron. Amplify the best & ignore the rest! It’s the only way to flip the script.
