I'm making an effort to find people with the most sensible and productive comments and liking them.
There are some strange people on this blog. One of them is very very stubborn. I usually know better than to give people like that oxygen.
I just realized what I need to do is feed it to people like you. That's a practical action connected to the idea that I could See Peace instead of this.
Thank you Marianne. I watched the DNC chair debate and you and Faiz were the clear winners. I was hoping you would post something about endorsing Martin. I call / email my senators and house representative every month and will use your recommendation for my next calls. You are a truly amazing person Marianne.
Thank you. I spent today fueling my anger and transforming to determination. I know my congressional representatives are opposing this brazen attempt to destroy our democracy and wrote to thank them and encourage the battle. I needed your wisdom to close my day with light.
I called the office of Sen. Adam Schiff last night, but i couldn’t get my call to go through, so I wrote a letter instead. I will call again tomorrow, and also Sen. Alex Padilla, and my new congresswoman, Laura Friedman. Thank you, Marianne, for keeping up the fight and encouraging us to do the same.
The 51 Intelligence Officers who signed a letter lying that Hunter Biden's laptop was a Russian Hoax were weaponizing Intelligence and illegally interfering in the Election and Trump is right to revoke their Security Clearance. Do you agree or disagree with that?
Your daughter is on top of it all. Congress has been bombarded, and like you said, this is a bridge too far. One other thing, Musk is not a governmental employee, he is a consultant. He can be sued for the intentional infliction of emotional distress he has caused all of us who freaked out over this, and that is likely going to end up being a class action lawsuit against him, personally. I know many of us have suffered anxiety and fear for the future because of what this monster has done. I am glad you have a good feeling about the new DNC chair. I am also happy to see David Hogg, the young man who has done so much to make people aware of gun violence in schools. His group attended every protest and were in the crowd registering new voters. I think he's a big reason we won in 2020. Personally, I think we won in 2016 and 2024, too. Apparently some people want to reward Trump's strategy of accusing his opponents of that of which he, himself is guilty, by not accusing him of what he, himself is more likely than not guilty of doing. With our own eyes, we've seen his support fall, both right after his mishandling of COVID and during this campaign, yet he ended up with more votes in 2020 and in 2024? Not likely at all.
Yes... the highwire has a seriously good track record of getting almost everything right. The media that puts so much fear into people about Every Single Thing has a dismal, horrific, embarrassing track record.
Please don't misunderstand, I'm not saying there's nothing Trump/ Musk are doing that deserves criticism and push back. Just saying it's harder to discern which parts those are, when the "news" manipulates fear and gets so much wrong, and some things that sound extreme are more like reactions to what's already extreme and needs being stopped.
That's true in at least some cases (like freezing communications of FDA, NIH, CDC). Also, USAID is a massively corrupt, dangerous, behemoths. That organization, which funded the creation of the sars-cov-2, is deserving of the label "dangerous" that they smear Bobby Kennedy with.
And this flood of fear-based-gaslighting, where they run with headlines "Trump shut off Medicaid!" - AOC (no, no true), amidst such secrecy, makes it harder to discern what of these actions / agendas is actually, in reality, harming, not healing.
Even if things don't have the energy of healing, there is an astoundingly corrupt situation already, just not as obvious (because of groups like USAID), much of it created by "Biden" executive orders. (And the censorship industrial complex).
I'm not defending everything being done, just saying there's more background than being reported on at least some things. Which makes me doubt other things.
Almost done with first post on a Substack that goes into this more ... about information discernment ...
Background on the executive orders around turning children into lifelong medical patients who can't have informed consent because the organizations trusted with that are using crappy-quality "science", and getting angry at those bringing better science (as they do ... )
It dislodges the guidelines created by the World Professional Association for Transgender Health—a group that has suppressed evidence and proven itself entirely unreliable—and quite unprofessional." - Lisa Selin Davis
Thanks for the time you took to say what you genuinely needed to say. I genuinely needed to hear someone else put it out there. :) All of it was good; second paragraph was gold.
Hi Elaine, I've been working on that for hundreds of hours, after thousands of hours of learning. I tend to write too long, and have health challenges, but perhaps everything is in the right timing. First post will be soon.
So you are anti-trans as well. Important for me to see this on Marianne Williamson's blog. Important for me to see how her defense of RFK Jr brings all these elements into her following and people like you would be surrounding her should she have been elected to any consequential political office.
I didn't vote for Trump, but I haven't loved a Democrat since Barack in 2008. I don't know Ellen, but she feels like a "betrayed liberal," and I understand where she's coming from. She doesn't deserve to be dismissed as "these elements" or "people like you."
"Darkness cannot drive out darkness, only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate, only love can do that."
"By this they will know you are my disciples, if you love one another."
I'm definitely no better than you, Amylouise, but I'm not worse than you, either. I don't care if you and I don't see everything the same way. There must be something common between us, since we're both here reading what Marianne Williamson has to say. That's more than good enough for me. And I'm going to say a big prayer for you tonight, and it's going to be full of love, and it's really going to be just for you.
You know, that's very sweet of you. I've been kind of grumpy on this blog today. I don't know what got into me, probably the general atmosphere of the country right now.
Your answer is wise and kind and generous. It's the antidote to my grumpiness that I really need. I'm going to receive your prayer with an open heart and thank you for the time you took to write to me.
It's the end of the day here, where I am, so I went ahead and did it right after I wrote you. I loved you til I cried; I sent you a really good one. :)
Me too I'm grumpy sometimes. We will forgive each other!
You have a beautiful open heart. Goodnight. XOXOXOXO
Hi Amylouise, I'm not "anti-trans", a reductionist, divisive label. I have profound respect for trans people like Cori Cohn and others who understand that what's happening to kids today is indoctrination with no informed consent.
I used to listen to Marianne's Tuesday Course in Miracles livestreams most weeks, I did some volunteering for her when she ran for president in 2020.
I tuned in to her less as I began to learn more about the manipulation of fear and data that was the tragic public health response to covid.
Some of her recent statements have shown more humility than most on the left about being willing to listen.
Anyone willing to actually "follow the science" all the way down on the covid response will find that at the same time we were being assured "safe and effective", "no signals of harm", "safe in pregnancy", etc - at the same time - they had data showing the opposite.
In both vaccines and "gender medicine", is a complete lack of informed consent, trust in organizations who have Not earned trust (like WPATH, and the captured medical orgs) - and also an immediate hostility to anyone who questions - and especially, super-tragically, a hostility to those who trusted and then were injured. The contempt and erasure that detransitioners face is similar to what the vaccine injured have faced for decades.
This is something I hope Marianne will feel called to focus more on, the spiritual wound of lying to so many vulnerable people, who were made more vulnerable by messaging to be constantly afraid, or to ruminate about being born in the wrong body.
It's impossible for the Democratic Party to continue on with any respect without addressing how they manipulated information people had access to - denied people correct info on early treatment for covid even before there were vaccines, and also manipulated information telling kids that puberty blockers were "safe", "just a pause button".
Yes, there's plenty of "information" out there that declares vaccines safe, says it's "settled science" that they absolutely surely have no relation to autism.
Just like the statements that if parents don't let their children become lifelong medical patients, they'll commit suicide, these declarations are based on low-quality "evidence", and statements by captured "experts". And those asking the difficult questions have much better science, including honest interpretations of original clinical trial data.
The entire point of science is because there is no such thing as "settled science", science is a process of discovery.
(And I may be wrong, but I don't think Marianne has a chance of being elected to any consequential political office on the Democratic party. Even tho she believes much of the official narrative, sadly, and still trusts the NY Times (??!?), after they have lied constantly, I don't think she has sold her soul in the way that would make it possible for her to be allowed to get to any powerful position in the Democratic Party.)
I think she's missing a lot about the crimes that happened during covid. Even Just looking at the suppression of early treatment, or the lies about the origin, any one of those things shows a huge apparatus of lies and censorship that did demonstrable physical, emotional, and spiritual harm.
But I think Marianne's good soul and her ability to be curious make it Possible for, at some point, for her to go there and grapple with how profoundly we were lied to. (Again, this is not conspiracy theory, this is all obvious and out in the open, see links below, I could share thousands more, people just refuse to look).
And that capacity of having the potential to look in those places, not being completely captured / owned, and hostile to anyone asking questions, is why I love and respect Marianne, and also why I doubt the corrupt DNC machine would let her near any levers of power.
It's important for me to see things like this on Marianne's blog, so we can witness the effect of her attacks on the Democratic Party.
Also, the people she brings into her political Community by her friendship with and defense of Robert Kennedy Jr.
I saw this happen when she ran for office in 2020. Toward the end of her campaign her social media and her blogs were swamped with Qanon and followers.
Marianne has a robust following of vaccine resistors. Well she herself claims to defend the efficacy of vaccines she has also questioned the science of those who build them and the financial motives of those who market them.
I find this to be the most troubling part of her political ambition. She's not clear about what she wants to see happen in the public health sector and what she does not want to see. I believe it's because she doesn't understand public health.
She reads but she reads in a biased manner. That leaves her and especially her following vulnerable to confused and even distorted information about Health and Wellness.
Please don't confuse vaccine literacy and being vaccine risk aware with Qanon.
There is a ton of honest info about public health that shows its roots. We were lied to about covid, its origins, treatment, masks, distancing, who to trust, who not to trust, the fatality #s, and the safety of the injections. I know covid is real and potentially awful, because of the potential for long covid, and the doctors who treat both long covid and vaccine injury say that vaccine injury is even harder to heal. People who died from (instead of "with") covid died from a combination of terrible hospital protocols and Lack of Early Treatment.
Talk about a spiritual rupture that needs acknowledgement and healing. From day one the inflammation, viral replication, and coagulation were treatable. Not a 100% assurance against long covid, but a near-certainty to stop the disease from progressing to needing hospitalization or dying. And - even when there were no vaccines out yet - we were lied to about that.
Meant with respect. Credible info below, if you're interested ...
I hear you about your mistrust of covid and the science that went into developing mRNA vaccines. Some people definitely had a problem with those vaccines. Many more did not and many lives were saved, hospital admissions were reduced, and eventually our society was able to return to some normalcy because of those vaccines.
I used to be a vaccine exceptionalist. I wouldn't let any modern vaccine let alone a flu vaccine into my system. I thought that if people ate better and took better care of their immune systems they would be fine.
One hospital admission for septic pneumonia changed my mind. I let them pump every conceivable antibiotic into my body in order to save my life and when I was done with all of that I followed the recommendation of a doctor who had worked with AIDS patients in Africa and got all the vaccines I needed to protect my lungs and keep that from ever happening to me again.
Marianne has a lot of RFK Jr fans on her pages. Weather it's opposition to covid vaccines and covid public protocols or other objections to the way this deadly pandemic was handled it all comes down to the same thing. Democrats are dangerous, their science cannot be trusted, they killed people unnecessarily during a pandemic, and putting them back in office could be dangerous.
It all led to the same result. Donald Trump is in office tearing apart our government and our democracy. RFK Jr may be in his cabinet but that's small compensation for the great damage that is being done to the United States right now.
I will be happy to look at your links later. I will send a few of them to my brother, a PhD scientist whose Labs developed a number of different drugs. His most recent accomplishment, a medicine that targets certain glioblastomas and kills them.
My brother knows more about this than I will ever know. If he agrees with the points that are made in your articles I will follow his experienced and careful thinking.
But I will tell you. He has never told me he thought the mRNA vaccines were dangerous. And he hasn't let any of this sway him from being a committed Republican.
so you agree with an unelected foreign interest (Musk) into having hackers get into US government computers, with access to all of our private information? and somehow Trump is this altruistic person?
Musk bought his way into this unofficial position. It is not reasonable to give him access to any government information. Total conflict of interests.
I want Elon to do to the Federal Government exactly what he just did with Twitter. Cut the staff and make it more efficient.
Nothing to be afraid of. Many of the federal workers had extra jobs. Those people working multiple jobs are going to be let go. It will save Taxpayers billions.
One glaring difference is he owned Twitter, was authorized to have access and make those sorts of decisions.
I never voted for him. I never said he or his minions who are not government employees, could access my information. Yet they have done so and offloaded copies of our information; anyone who has filed a tax return.
He did not have authority to do this, and his 18 - 24 year old hackers set up cots/couches in other people's offices to work all weekend. I am pretty sure that breaks several codes having people sleep in office spaces, much less the illegal entry into government computers. Most of that coding is done in Cobol, old systems that youngsters may know how to access but likely did damage rooting around. Musk will be held accountable for his actions and he's not a government employee; he's a consultant. X is his company, not the US government
They needed to get proof of those who worked multiple jobs while under contract to the Fed Gov.
The contracts specifically said they were not allowed to work a second job.
Elon is just letting all of the Federal Workers know that with the Feb 6th date to declare if they were going to accept the severance, he has the receipts of who was doing what.
President Trump said the onus was on the workers to prove they did not work for another company.
Some of these workers had multiple jobs, using the Fed job for healthcare and retirement money.
Did you not see what has happened in Argentina this past year?
I do think there's one good thing about reading your words. I can see the extent to which people like you are enjoying the fear and suffering people who will be affected by gutting many of the programs that save lives and protect American interests around the world.
And don't even get me started on what you have to say about Twitter functioning more efficiently. That platform is a mess and your investment in it may be one reason we were lost in delusions about this moment in history.
I pity you your lack of knowledge about American politics, the effectiveness of good governmental institutions, the American Constitution and the founding vision of the Declaration of Independence.
And I know you will dismiss every word of what I said because it seems clear to me you are lost in an illusory world where Donald Trump has even a shred of moral integrity intellectual clarity, or genuine concern for anyone other than himself.
Obviously you came here to troll Democrats who support Marianne Williamson. That's not a conversation, that's being an antagonist.
Keep in mind that you are here because of her graciousness not because anybody who truly believes in her or what she has to say about American politics takes you seriously.
I’m going to start tonight by stating the obvious: the Republicans control both chambers of Congress: the House of Representatives and the Senate. They also control the White House and the Supreme Court. If they wanted to get rid of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), for example, they could introduce a bill, debate it, pass it, and send it on to President Trump for his signature. And there would be very little the Democrats could do to stop that change.
But they are not doing that.
Instead, they are permitting unelected billionaire Elon Musk, whose investment of $290 million in Trump and other Republican candidates in the 2024 election apparently has bought him freedom to run the government, to override Congress and enact whatever his own policies are by rooting around in government agencies and cancelling those programs that he, personally, dislikes.
The replacement of our constitutional system of government with the whims of an unelected private citizen is a coup. The U.S. president has no authority to cut programs created and funded by Congress, and a private citizen tapped by a president has even less standing to try anything so radical.
But Republicans are allowing Musk to run amok. This could be because they know that Trump has embraced the idea that the American government is a “Deep State,” but that the extreme cuts the MAGA Republicans say they want are actually quite unpopular with Americans in general, and even with most Republican voters. By letting Musk make the cuts the MAGA base wants, they can both provide those cuts and distance themselves from them.
But permitting a private citizen to override the will of our representatives in Congress destroys the U.S. Constitution. It also makes Congress itself superfluous. And it takes the minority rule Republicans have come to embrace to the logical end of putting government power in the hands of one man.
Musk’s team in the so-called Department of Government Efficiency, or DOGE, has taken control of the U.S. Treasury payment systems that handle about $6 trillion in annual transactions for the U.S. government, thus gaining access to Americans' personal information as well as information about Musk's competitors. From there, Musk claims to have been cancelling those transactions he thinks are wasteful. He claims, for example, to have “deleted” the popular Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Direct File system that enabled people to file their taxes online for free, without the help of paid tax preparers.
Musk’s team apparently consists of six engineers, aged 19 to 24, who are taking control of the computers at government agencies. From the Treasury Department, they went on to the U.S. Agency for International Development, which receives foreign policy guidance from the State Department. Their breaching of the computers there compromises our national intelligence systems, which must now be considered insecure.
From there, they went on to the General Services Administration (GSA), which manages the federal government’s 7,500 or so buildings. Musk’s people sent an email to regional managers telling them to begin ending the leases on federal offices. According to Chris Megerian of the Associated Press, the person in charge of that initiative is Nicole Hollander, who describes herself on LinkedIn as employed at Musk’s social media company, X.
Today, according to an email sent to employees of the Small Business Administration, Musk’s people have gotten into that agency’s human resources, contracts, and payment systems. The Small Business Administration supports small businesses and entrepreneurs, and under the Biden-Harris administration, small businesses boomed thanks to small-dollar loans to women, Black, and Latino entrepreneurs.
By this afternoon, Musk’s people were digging into the data of the Department of Education with an eye to dismantling it from the inside before Trump tries to shut it down with an executive order, although only Congress itself can shutter the department. According to Laura Meckler, Danielle Douglas-Gabriel, and Hannah Natanson of the Washington Post, Musk’s DOGE staffers had accessed sensitive internal data systems, including the personal information of millions of students who are taking part in the federal student aid program. It is highly unlikely that Congress would destroy the Department of Education, so Musk and Trump hope to hollow it out from within.
On a livestream last night, Musk said of his destruction of the federal government: “If it’s not possible now, it will never be possible. This is our shot, This is the best hand of cards we’re ever going to have. If we don’t take advantage of this best hand of cards, it’s never going to happen.”
Three federal employees unions are suing the Trump administration to stop Musk, and today, Democratic members of the House and Senate tried to enter the USAID building but were denied entry. Led by Senators Chris Murphy (D-CT), Brian Schatz (D-HI) and Chris Van Hollen (D-MD) and Representatives Jamie Raskin (D-MD) and Gerry Connolly (D-VA), the Democrats condemned what Raskin called Musk and Trump’s “illegal, unconstitutional interference with congressional power.”
“Elon Musk, you may have illegally seized power over the financial payment systems of the United States Department of Treasury,” Raskin said, “but you don’t control the money of the American people. The United States Congress does that—under Article I of the Constitution. And just like the president, who was elected to something, cannot impound the money of the people, we don’t have a fourth branch of government called Elon Musk. And that’s going to become real clear.”
Senator Murphy said: "[L]et's not pull any punches about why this is happening. Elon Musk makes billions of dollars based off of his business with China. And China is cheering at [the destruction of USAID]. There is no question that the billionaire class trying to take over our government right now is doing it based on self-interest: their belief that if they can make us weaker in the world, if they can elevate their business partners all around the world, they will gain the benefit.”
Murphy continued: “But there’s another reason this is happening. They’re shuttering agencies and sending employees home in order to create the illusion that they’re saving money, in order to…pass a giant tax cut for billionaires and corporations.”
While Musk and his DOGE team are trying systematically to dismantle the government, today Judge Loren L. AliKhan of the Federal District Court for the District of Columbia blocked the Trump administration’s attempt to freeze trillions of dollars in grants and loans before DOGE got going. AliKhan said that by impounding funds—which Congress declared illegal in 1974—Trump’s Office of Management and Budget “attempted to wrest the power of the purse away from the only branch of government entitled to wield it.” It is Congress, not the president, that determines federal spending.
Meanwhile, the elected president, Donald Trump, sparked a crisis last Friday when his White House press secretary, Karoline Leavitt, announced that he fully intended to go through with the trade war he had hyped on the campaign trail. Trump announced he would levy tariffs of 25% on most products from Mexico and Canada and of 10% on products from China, beginning at 12:01 a.m. on Tuesday, in violation of the trade agreement his own team had negotiated during his first term.
As soon as Leavitt announced the upcoming tariffs, the stock market began to fall, and by last night, stock market futures had fallen 450 points on the expectation of tariffs hitting at midnight tonight. Today, the stock market continued to fall. Even reliable Trump allies began to complain that the tariffs would raise prices. The Wall Street Journal editorial board called Trump’s tariffs “the dumbest trade war in history.”
Today, the president of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaum, announced that she and Trump had “reached a series of agreements” that would pause the threatened tariffs for a month. Mexico agreed to “reinforce the northern border with 10,000 elements of the National Guard immediately, to prevent drug trafficking from Mexico to the United States,” while the U.S. “commits to work to prevent the trafficking of high-powered weapons to Mexico.”
When Trump announced their conversation shortly afterward, he omitted the part of the agreement that committed the U.S. to try to stop the flow of guns to Mexico. He also did not mention that, in fact, Mexico committed to putting 10,000 troops at the border in 2021. As Catherine Rampell of the Washington Post commented: “Any news outlet reporting Mexico conceded anything to Trump to get him to delay tariffs has not done its homework. Trump boasts he got Mexico to commit to stationing 10K troops at our border. Apparently he didn't realize Mexico already has 15K troops deployed there[.]”
The crisis at the northern border worked out in a similar fashion. After conferring, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Trump announced a 30-day pause in the implementation of tariffs. Trudeau agreed to appoint a border czar and to implement a $1.3 billion border plan that Canada had announced in December.
In other words, while Musk was causing a constitutional crisis, Trump created an economic crisis that threatened both domestic and global chaos, then claimed Biden administration achievements as his own and declared victory.
The tariffs on Chinese goods went into effect as planned. China has promised to levy tariffs of up to 15% on certain U.S. products beginning a week from today. It also said it will investigate Google to see if it has violated antitrust laws.
You have to understand. This woman came here because she knows she'll get resistant engagement and coming back to press her case on a Progressive Democrat's blog is a kind of entertainment for her.
I've responded to her twice, but I'll never give her the Dignity of following up on any of her links and I'm not interested in her insensitive ill informed and even cruel perspective on the American people.
If this were social media, I would have blocked her already.
But I do want to remember. Because of her affection for and defense of RFK Jr, Marianne Williamson has welcomed people like this onto her blog site. She's been attacking the Democrats for 2 years (more if you count her 20/20 campaign) and this is the result.
Marianne has met the other half of the extremist horseshoe. It's not something I would have wanted for her when she decided to pursue the presidency but it's where we are with her now.
If you will untuck your head from your behind I came here because I adore Marianne. I hope she has ongoing influence in the direction that the Democrat party decides to take because I believe they have lost all touch with reality.
I am not a republican. You do not know Jack about me or my positions or my willingness to talk to everyone about everything.
I am excited about RFK jr taking a blow torch to the health agencies and as a long term health freedom activist I will partner with anyone who wants to expose all of the frauds around Big Pharma.
What Elon is doing is INCREDIBLY POPULAR with Republicans!
NEW: Elon Musk says he thinks he can reduce the deficit by $1 Trillion next year, says it will cause a cascading effect for Americans.
“I think we can take a trillion dollars out of the out of the deficit next year.”
“We have a $2 trillion deficit, which is a far in excess of economic growth. If we can get that deficit in half, from 2 trillion to 1 trillion, and we can get the economic growth to match that 1 trillion growth in the money supply, that means there will be no inflation.”
“Interest rates will drop, credit card interest down, mortgage interest down, car payment interest down, and prices at the store stay the same.”
“That is a great outcome for people and I think we can do it.”
I think it is quid pro quo Jenny. America has used it's dollar hegemony to enforce, extract and control power everywhere for decades. It has held massive power through it's economic control of currencies and sucked trillions from the poorer world in debt payments. USAiD is usually tied with strings to enforce US power. The US has nuclear subs or based trained on every nation. Trump is making all sorts of war like territorial threats, Panama, Middle East, Greenland. The daily twitter diatribes against Europe and support for extreme right wing groups is very very troubling. To listen to Trump speak is to hear a vile and unpleasant torrent of arrogance, false information, threats nastiness and insults. Listening you would think America terribly hard done by. Thanks fact it vetos nearly every country through the security councils, ignores all other agreements - climate/ecosystem stuff, international criminal court, trade rules etc through its 'exceptionalism' just shows it's adolescence as a country. I hope America does butt out of being the geo-poltiicla war mongering threat but I hear or see that happening at all - in fact the opposite. One has to laugh about America and drugs going over the border, most the guns that control it come out of America, it has destablised countless governments in South America, it has more drug making facilities than anywhere and provides opiods to the public quite freely.
I agree with Glen Greenwald…(His tweet made me laugh out loud)
The fact that Democrats finally found a cause worth fighting for -- defending a corrupted monument to waste, coups and imperialism called USAID -- is as pathetic as it is unsurprising.
Can't wait until the next Dem march in defense of CIA.✊
I'm an avid reader of your letters from across the Atlantic... And this one too echoes deep within me, and hits so close to home, as always, Marianne. And your daughter's reflections (the apple doesn't fall far from the tree, as the saying goes ;-)) are absolutely spot-on too.
I wish I could help but as an European citizen I can only support you in my thoughts during this terrible time your country is going through. And indeed, in its wake... the whole world. Europe isn't doing very well either, with authoritarian regimes gradually gaining ground in Hungary, Italy, Slovakia... and now these threats to democracy in Germany (where Musk believes he has the power to parade around sickeningly in support of the frightening far-right AfD party). And also in Austria, the Czech Republic, Romania... Not to mention Georgia, with its illegitimate pro-Kremlin regime. As for France, where I live, the far-right National Rally (RN), narrowly avoided in the last parliamentary elections, is now lying in ambush, and no less dictating its agenda in the background – like the AfD in Germany and its obsession with migration –, polluting the whole political atmosphere with notions – which you've heard all too often on the other side of the Atlantic too, alas – like "migratory submersion"...
Faced with this despotism on the march, the world desperately needs enlightened leaders. And enlightened peoples. Or at least, an enlightened minority within those peoples, since we know that it is they who can make all the difference. I've always thought that someone like you should be in charge of the United States, dear Marianne. Which would then have a much more welcoming and friendly face, in the eyes of the world. And even be a source of hope and inspiration for other nations...
This is all I wish for your country!
But for now, it's a rough ride... Take heart, dear friends. For as the poet Hölderlin said: "But where the danger is, also grows that which saves."
Today as a student of the course for decades, along with all I have practised to remain sane aka optimistic about life, regardless of what i cannot control.
This weekend with the threat of tariffs which sent most of us Canadians in a tail spin, having a practise to hold to as in love is all that is really all else is and illusion, plus a rubber mallet i use to smack myself in the head, and demand optimistic thoughts only. The fearful thoughts are very dominate in my life, i have mental lifepreserves, but this is taking Hercules mental strength. Good thing i have taken most of my life to convince myself i can control my thinking. Thank you to my dear departed Dr. Wayne Dyer, give us some mystical assistance, please. And Jerry Hicks, Stewart Wilde, Martin Luther King, etc etc etc. I am/we are open to a or many miracles.
I can see peace instead of this. ACIM workbook lesson #34. ❤️❤️❤️🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

The 51 Intelligence Officers who signed a letter lying that Hunter Biden's laptop was a Russian Hoax were weaponizing Intelligence and illegally interfering in the Election and Trump is right to revoke their Security Clearance. Do you agree or disagree with that?
IF that's true, and if they knew they were lying, then yes I agree.
Fake investigation to create a false impression as a Republican campaign strategy. The person whose testimony they relied upon in this false accusation has since admitted it was all a lie.
I have written emails and made phone calls to my senators, I’m appalled, just over it.
Suggest watching: WWW.THEHIGHWIRE.COM
Yes... the highwire has a seriously good track record of getting almost everything right.

Thanks for the time you took to say what you genuinely needed to say. I genuinely needed to hear someone else put it out there. :) All of it was good; second paragraph was gold.
Maybe you should sit down and start your own Substack, Ellen.

Amylouise,
I didn't vote for Trump, but I haven't loved a Democrat since Barack in 2008.
Have a sweet afternoon.
Seriously! ❤

It's impossible for the Democratic Party to continue on with any respect without addressing how they manipulated information people had access to - denied people correct info on early treatment for covid even before there were vaccines, and also manipulated information telling kids that puberty blockers were "safe", "just a pause button".
https://merylnass.substack.com/p/how-a-false-hydroxychloroquine-narrative
Yes, there's plenty of "information" out there that declares vaccines safe, says it's "settled science" that they absolutely surely have no relation to autism.
Just like the statements that if parents don't let their children become lifelong medical patients, they'll commit suicide, these declarations are based on low-quality "evidence", and statements by captured "experts". And those asking the difficult questions have much better science, including honest interpretations of original clinical trial data.
The entire point of science is because there is no such thing as "settled science", science is a process of discovery.
https://aaronsiri.substack.com/p/remember-this-when-experts-claim

https://aaronsiri.substack.com/p/and-like-that-the-claim-vaccines
(Again, this is not conspiracy theory, this is all obvious and out in the open, see links below, I could share thousands more, people just refuse to look).

https://ladycasey.substack.com/p/scientific-studies-on-vaccine-injuries
https://pierrekorymedicalmusings.com/p/the-long-awaited-debate-of-covid?utm_source=publication-search

Thanks for your time.
And and for your good heart.
Thank You Dear Marianne. Love and Appreciate ALL You Do. XXOO
I am thrilled with every move President Trump has made. This is the very action and Pace I was hoping for.
The dems should have chosen you to be the DNC chair Marianne.
I hope your reasonable voice will be an influence on the party moving forward.
Do not be afraid. We are decoupling our nation from foreign interests who have been gutting the treasury and manipulating never ending wars.
President Trumps policies with lead to world peace and prosperity under budget and ahead of schedule.
so you agree with an unelected foreign interest (Musk) into having hackers get into US government computers, with access to all of our private information? and somehow Trump is this altruistic person?
A mighty economic miracle.
Glorious!
I do not dismiss every word you say Amy because I am here talking to you.
Axios just reported 20,000 people so far have taken the buyout. That is great news!
https://www.axios.com/2025/02/04/trump-buyout-federal-workers-20000
Obviously you came here to troll Democrats who support Marianne Williamson. That's not a conversation, that's being an antagonist.
Keep in mind that you are here because of her graciousness not because anybody who truly believes in her or what she has to say about American politics takes you seriously.
From Heather Cox Richardson:
February 3, 2025 (Monday)
Well, oh then. You have yourself a really nice afternoon.
Thanks.
That is really nice.

Dear Marianne
Thank you for walking your talk.
Thank you
Marianne

I love how you close with a message of hope. We all need it so badly.
And thank you so much for the detailed, actionable instructions!
Thank you Marianne for all you do and all you are. I was there at The Wilshire in LA and I'm here with you now.
