We are doing the Moment of Silence (and solidarity) from Vietnam (9am here). The threat of authoritarianism is global and all of humanity must rise to the moment and demonstrate that love is deeper, broader and higher than fear and hate.
Your call not to acquiesce hit diffrently—most people discuss resistance as grand gestures, but you're naming the daily choice not to normalize what's happening. I've noticed how quickly my own shock fades into routine headlines, which is exacty the erosion you're warning against. It's almost like the real battle isn't winning arguments but refusing to adjust our baseline for acceptable. That silent minute practice seems more radical now than I first thought.
after reading trump's letter to the pm of norway i think trump has gone insane. i don't know the nice scientific medically correct way to phrase it. his mind is gone. i wish more people in congress would say it and would do something about it. a person who is totally obsessed about the nobel peace prize can't run the US. especially not with the supreme court letting him go crazy.
The 6pm Pacific Moment of Silence is something so many have taken up. When my husband and I recently spoke with some long standing friends, they were so happy to learn about this and join in. The 1930 Germany is constantly on my mind, Marianne. So many of us stand up and stand together.
It’s a big mistake for politicians to try and analyze Trump. Europeans are overly polite and diplomatic. He’s a psychopath and is out of control. Plus look at his eyes. He's so out of balance. He’s on drugs. Probably Ambien to sleep and adderal to wake up.
I "Choose Love" like many of the NFL players have chosen to do with a decal on the back of their helmets ☺️ and some of the stadium end zones.
Why "Choose Love" is Used
Inspire Change Initiative: Part of the NFL's social justice program, allowing players to select slogans like "Choose Love".
Honoring Martin Luther King Jr.: The phrase aligns with Dr. King's message of dignity, empathy, and shared humanity, making it prominent during MLK Jr. Day celebrations.
Community Response: It serves as a unifying message against hate, rooted in local tragedies and broader calls for peace.
Indeed, a house search without a warrant goes against the 4th Amendment of our Constitution. I live in Minnesota, and I spoke with a staffer at Sen. Amy Klobuchar's office at length this afternoon. The Senator will not vote for more ICE funding within the Homeland Security Budget. And Congress members are working together to find the best recourses to help immigrants, like the little five-year-old boy who was taken today, along with his dad, from their home in Minnesota to a detention center in San Antonio, Texas! The father is legally here and following the correct process as an asylum seeker. It's another heartbreak.
But tomorrow we are doing ICE OUT of Minnesota--many companies have joined so no work, no shopping, etc. Unfortunately, it will be horridly freezing outdoors but those who can will endure the hardship, during an afternoon rally at Target Center in Minneapolis. We will overcome.
Importantly, I applaud Marianne for mentioning, once again, the need for a minute of silence. It does bring optimism to one's soul. Thanks to all who are sending good thoughts to Minnesotans at this time. It's devastating to realize we seem to be rhyming with the history of Germany's '30s.
Oh Joan, you’re right there in the midst of it. God bless you for your strength, your positivity, and your deep centered love. Stay warm and stay safe, and know that we will never be comfortless because of Who walks with us. No doubt we will win this! 💜
A rallying cry with a difference: Love and Respect at its heart.
I just wish we could be brave enough and honest enough to explore our own hearts and minds with the spirit of enquiry and a sense that WE ALL need to rediscover our compasses ….moral, geographical, spiritual and social and political. It’s not just the politicians, not the judiciary or the government: WE the People, is where THEY come from, so WE The People have a great responsibility to make the decisions via the ballot box that WE need to make. There is much that WE can do. We need COMMUNITY and urgently.
Thank you Marianne for once again reminding us all that together we can and will make a difference through peaceful protests, prayer and doing our part to stop these atrocities! Sending love and light to all❤️🕯️☮️🕉️🙏🏼❤️

Thank you. That's very beautiful.
Appreciations and much love to you, Marianne⭐️

Yours is an excellent post and I hope others will read it. Thank you
At 6pm, a minute of silence has been happening somewhere in the city of angels✨

My alarm is set for daily 5:59pm. Every day. Im firm believer in collective energy. Collective conscience.
Thank you so much. And I hope you'll let others know as well.
This was a very good speech. ¨Act together because if you are not at the table, you are on the menu.¨

Thank you SO MUCH, once again for your insights as to what is going on, as SCARY as it is! We can't let our future be created in this way!
I like what the physicians in Minnesota had to say today as they stood together in solidarity.

Oh I thought you meant the hate from the Left…Your premiss is bullshit.
