I am right there with you, sister! When I have all those "important "things that manage to pull me away, I know I need to sit more than ever. That clever ego! I am not a big Nike fan, but in this case, I agree with them-Just Do It!
Wait, what?! You don't have this perfected yet? Ha ha, thanks for sharing. I too find it easier to caught up first thinking in the morning in the craziness of our country/world. But, a meditation practice may have literally saved my life a while back and it does not readily fall off my busy plate anymore.
Thank you for this. It just makes me feel better to hear that you, someone whose practice I respect, also has days that that it just doesn't flow ... the desire for that next minute, which surely will be more important, more fun, certainly better than this one! And yet I do my best to sit. Peace.

Marianne, I found this piece in my email shortly after I sat with my husband for the ACIM meditation today.
During that time of sitting meditation something wonderful and beautiful happened.
All of a sudden, I heard myself forgiving my ancestors. I felt so much love.
It grew, I began heartfelt forgiveness for living loved ones.
Today's meditation was so powerful for me. Universal love exists even when I get judgey (new word) about my own meditation practice.

I have a heat mask for my eyes that’s set for 15mins. Hopefully that isn’t cheating, but it makes it really to consistently commit.
