Your speech in Ojai, CA was so well put together and delivered - just masterful. I feel like Civics classes would be more relevent to students if they could here this speech.

Your example of punching forward with your message on behalf of people like me shows your courage and capabilities. I pray you keep the hope alive and I thank you for being a role model, & I especially hope our younger generations take notes!

Yes, just keep going because your courage and determination to say what must be said is unparalleled. Over the years, we have sat back, thinking we are too powerless to change the course of our political wishes. We are not, we speak our minds through your words. We are powerful beyond our imagination. May our love and gratitude shelter you from harsh words and actions.

I’m not trying at this point to win the nomination; the President has done that. I’m still out there because I’m hoping to get enough delegates to make it to the convention, to have a voice, to represent the interests of those whose who are basically neglected by the status quo. THANKS, MARIANNE, FOR YOUR VISION OF WHAT THE USA SHOULD BE. PERHAPS YOU STILL HAVE A CHANCE TO BE OUR NEXT PRESIDENT. GOD BLESS YOU. YOU WILL HAVE MY VOTE.

To many followers of Marianne's "Transform" posting, I encourage you to realize she's still participating in the 'primaries' for President across the nation for the reason she says/writes: hoping to get delegates so she can encourage the adoption of her platform or, the very least, some parts of it at the upcoming national Democratic Convention. She's not discounting Biden's nomination, as some have suggested, but has a justifiably deep desire to help build a platform at the convention that we can all be happy about more than the present direction of policies to date by the White House that lack detail. Thankfully, we still have a democracy, where candidates, like Marianne, can express their positions prior to the general election. She is doing us all a favor by forging ahead to educate the people on what's possible to help us all thrive instead of suffer and struggle--by experiencing the demise of the middle class. The importance of knowledge is that it has the power to evolve humanity--it truly counts! And Marianne is helping manifest opportunity with our abiding support.

Marianne is right. People are going hungry, and people are scared, right here at home, right now. And what is being done about it? Billions of our dollars are strangely going out of our hands to create more hunger in Palestine.

I have been an activist and advocate for many years for people who do not have a home to go to, a sanctuary of their own, a roof over their head with heat, safety, clean clothes and food in the refrigerator. Most of us take that for granted and call those necessities.

Having known a lot of homeless people over the years, I want everyone to know that Marianne is right about hunger. People who are homeless tell me that the worst thing about being homeless, on the streets, in the cold is being hungry, very hungry, without food.

This is something we are allowing to happen to our people and to the people of Palestine. It is inconceivable and unnecessary. Please vote for Marianne. We must have a Department of Peace and a Department for Children and Families. We must end hunger here at home, in Palestine and everywhere. Thank you.

MW, you had the most memorable line from the 2016 debates about love conquering fear. I wrote about it here: https://bracingviews.substack.com/p/liberation-from-fear

Love driving out fear is of course from the Bible and was cited by Philip Berrigan as he fought against the warmongers of his day.

This, I think, is your biggest contribution: your willingness to challenge the fearmongers and warmongers of both parties. Stay on that message. It's needed and it's a winner!

I love your line: "Who are our supporters?" Everyone that hears you! Amen! Imagine how differently this would all look if - from the beginning of all this - you were heard on the news like any other candidate. Not suppressed, sidelined, blacklisted, etc. We will not give up. I count my blessings to have the opportunity to support a candidate like you - one who sincerely sticks up for the common man, woman and child - and not the big corporations. That in itself is politically earth-shattering!

How do we the voters,

change how candidates are offered for election. Maybe we should have 3 to select from instead of just 2. Maybe we have inclusive primaries not political party primaries. All candidates together. Then the 3 ones for selection. But regardless we MUST do away with the Electoral College system, Citizens United, dark money.

Your tearing down Biden here with false accusations is damaging to the goal you claim to be supporting, keeping Trump away from the control center. You portray him as weak and out of touch, and that simply is not true. He was in Michigan supporting the Unions while Trump went to an off-union shop. Biden has traveled the country, as well as VP Harris, getting out the message that they support women being in charge of their own decisions, their own bodies, that a right to decide whether or not to risk her life to bring a potential to fruition is her choice, no one else's. The potential is not the result. It would be more helpful if you were out there supporting him instead of joining in with the unfair criticism. You underestimate how much he has done, how much he does see and understand. He deserves all of our support and that is how we beat Trump, not by trying to strengthen the false impression Republican media has been spreading about Biden. He knows what he is doing. He isn't there out of self-serving motivations or to exploit the position for personal profit the way Trump and his cronies are. He cares about this country and about democracy.

I'm not tearing down Biden, but you're propping him up in ways that do not serve. And there are no false accusations! I'm simply discussing reality, while some think if we only close our eyes, cross our fingers and buy enough TV ads then we'll win. I would argue I'm doing more to help him win than you are. The President could have codified Roe in the first two years of his administration if he had chosen to. And people know that. Yes, I think their position on abortion will help, but it will not be enough. I'm arguing that we offer more to people. Shaming me for that is ridiculous.

I am not propping him up. He doesn't need me to do that. I am seeing what he is doing for what it is. You are spreading the same type of impression the Republicans have been falsely creating. They use a method where two people are talking on TV and they make a statement as if it's a known truth that every normal person knows and believes, but it's a lie. Biden is not weak. He is strong. He has not been doing nothing. He's been doing a lot for this country for decades. He's serving democracy, not himself.

Marianne Williamson's avatar

I think you misperceive my impressions of Biden. I like a lot of what he's done and of course he's infinitely better than any Republican candidate. But many others could have taken the mantle and he knew that. He knew they were suppressing a primary. I'm 71 years old, and I know the meaning of age; know what one five year period means, how it changes you. We don't have to agree with each other, and I appreciate you engaging with me. But in the end this isn't a matter of your opinion or mine. It's a matter of what voters are thinking, as clearly evidenced by the polls. Dems being in denial right now is exactly what got us Trump in the first place. Biden's the nominee, fine. But at least let's try to get some things into the platform that will help! Again, that's what I'm doing: making suggestions that will appeal to more voters.

I believe Biden does listen to us, and it could be you will have an impact there. I'm 73, and also know how age can be perceived in this country. Given he is the incumbent, he likely considered that as an edge and we need every edge we can get. The true spoiler here is Kennedy, not you, because he does endanger this election and his own family has made it clear, he's their "crazy uncle." I wish that would mean he would siphon Trump's votes, but some people just see the Kennedy name and don't look any further. I have seen Biden adapt his policies before to include progressive ideas. I supported Sanders in the primary for the first election (because Elizabeth Warren dropped out before the Michigan primary), but once Biden was elected, I got to see him with new eyes as someone sincere who has sacrificed a lot to be of service.

Oh yep. And now that Biden has about seven more months to speak up before the election, about women's rights, going to visit a union, polishing the economic outlook. I wonder where he has been while college grads go back to live with parents, Grandparents are supporting more grandchildren, Children are back in poverty, people are being priced out of home ownership, thousands more can't afford to rent and are losing what they had. Thousands more of the working poor are living in their vehicles as are thousands of seniors or they are living on the streets. Food banks and shelters are struggling to feed and house those they can. I wonder why --while BIDEN has been doing so much good for the american people, -- we are in such trouble here and abroad. Why, since Biden has been doing Americans so much good and making people's lives better while he has been our President; PLEASE tell me why are so many people are flocking to vote for TRUMP? You had better hang on tight to your safe and good life position so you don't slip out of the middle class. You do not seem to be aware of the real issues and daily concerns of real US citizens. Please clearly spell out all the goodness and righteous things Biden has done since he took office as our president. WILL YOU? There is so much I could add but I need to go prepare to the ground so I can grow a big healthy garden for my family this year. Grow real food that has not been processed beyond belief and has a l -o -n -g shelf life. But thank GOD we have it or a lot more people Could not afford to eat. Bioengineered and sold in the US of A; while other countries won't even all allow food sold in our country to be given to their pets, let alone to their people.

If you do get his ear, I hope you can get him to do something about the SBA COVID disaster relief sabotage by agents Trump apparently put in there to divert funds away from some of us after telling us we were approved. In my case, I was invited to apply, got the initial loan which was small, and then after that once again invited to apply for a modification in an amount that would actually be helpful. I was so excited and hopeful because it would be enough to clear some debt, improve my credit rating, improve my business equipment, get certification to open more opportunity to earn more and maybe eventually be able to buy the house I've lived in going on 18 years now. The modification was approved after going through reconsideration and I thought the losses from COVID would be taken care of and I'd actually be helped. Then there turned out to be some sort of requirement to have a business bank account, although nothing was said after the original loan was deposited into my personal account. Anyway, I fixed that issue, got the business account, SBA agents spoke to the bank manager and said it was an appropriate account. But this delayed things going on a year at that point. Once the agents spoke to the bank manager, I expected it to be deposited in days. Instead a few months later, an agent called and said I didn't qualify after all because I'd filed taxes late in 2018 and 2019. I took my returns to the post office both years and saw them postmarked early. I also had emails about it to remind me of those exact dates. So I was offered hope, meaningful hope, and then it was just callously snuffed out based on a lie. There was a sham of a hearing, the judge, Valerie Burley, didn't hear me. Just relied on the paperwork, even when in her decision she referred to something that was false, she stuck with that decision even knowing that paperwork was false. I'd asked Biden's staff to intervene, but they basically are hands-off when it comes to what happens in federal agencies. I think they need to be more hands on. I have no way of making up for this serious loss of expected income from that loan modification and am in danger of losing this home. I do TNR for neighborhood cats, have a feeding station, outdoor winter shelters, plus indoor pets. During the long wait for this relief, I lost one thing after another, first could not repair my car, then when my dog, Godfrey, got sick, I could not get him to emergency treatment and he died. The OIG has done nothing. This didn't just happen to me, apparently it was a pattern of some sort to divert funds to republican applicants away from democrats. I had mentioned I was a democrat and asked to have my application handled only by democrats. That was probably a mistake. I just think once you are told you are approved after a reconsideration hearing has already been held, that was when they should have determined if there was any disqualifying circumstance, not over a year later. My back rent piled up and I relied on this to take care of that, so I am in a terrible predicament now due to what I believe was done by agents Trump planted in the SBA. I don't know if the executive branch can override an unjust situation, I was hoping they would, but so far they just send it back to the agency and say they can't interfere, and the agency is like a pack of robots or a brick wall at this point, saying it's too late, deadlines expired, but I'm not the one who caused the deadlines to expire and it wasn't unreasonable for me to rely on the fact they said the loan was approved and even had me sign the closing documents. I've never had a loan denied after signing closing documents.

Thank you that you keep going! I want SEE you as the first cabinet member as head of the Department of Peace or the Department of Children and Families, or the Head of the Ministry for Children.

Biden has done an incredible amount. And I want to see you and Elizabeth Warren and Amy Klobuchar crafting a platform that goes after the muliti-millionaire and billionaire CEOs and business owners who are paying at a lower tax rate than the rest of us, and whose corporations either pay not taxes or get REBATEs! It is my tax dollars and yours and all of ours that have built the infrastructure on which these extremely wealthy people drive trucks, build warehouses, rely on safety services and people educated in the schools I helped fund. We are ALL investors in the businesses paying CEOs thousands of times more than the pregnant mother who’ll get NO PAID FAMILY LEAVE for herself or her fellow caregiver. We help buy the yachts and luxury cars of the C-Suite folks while babies born in our nation do not have benefit of time to form secure attachment with their caregivers as the U.S. is the only industrialized nation with no paid family leave! Little wonder maternal suicide is up. Black maternal and infant mortality is three to four times higher than their white counterparts. This country HATEs pregnant women and their babies or we’d figure out a way to protect your families with Paid Family Leave and nurse-family visitors, whose presence for just a few visits helps reduce abuse and neglect, as well as, years later, youth-justice involvement. Just by taxing billionaires snd millionaires properly, and reinvesting that into our most valuable natural resource, our sane, rational, healthy parents, we would see a massive difference in child brain health and mental health in a few short years. (Early brain health is dramatically affected by stress: the first two months are the most influential in brain development. Oprah Winfrey learned that talking with Bruce Perry, MD, her co-author of their incredible book “What Happened to You? Conversations on Trauma, Resilience, and Healing”.) This is all vitally important and connected as were we to sanctify new parenthood and create “flourish envy” for the way new parents and babies are revered in, especially Scandinavian countries, we might be able to prevent some of the developmental trauma that is making our children so vulnerable to depression, anxiety, suicidality, self-destructive behaviors.

There is a lot here. You can take these messages, and others, forward for the sake of your precious granddaughter and daughter and all the new parents and little ones to come at this make-or-break moment for our precious planet.

Would love to help. Have written about all of this for years. There is a coalition that needs to be built. Were you to take IT to the convention - you, the Rev. Dr. William Barber and The Poor People’s Campaign, filled from Zero-to-Three; Babies Can’t Wait; some labor movement folks and some others, we could roll in with a load of energy and momentum and make those demands.

Let’s talk! I’d love to help.

DEMOCRACY IS UNDER ATTACK

Let's be honest; the only thing under attack in this country is the Working Class People.

What is so disconcerting is how the Press and the DNC seem to believe we are all total idiots!

In. B movie Oscar performance's at three State of the Union.... Biden is caught on a hot mic telling Blinken "don't tell anyone, but I am going to have a Jesus moment with BeBe about killing all those kids in Gaza"

an aide comes running up to him exclaiming Sir, your mic is on. Rated FU freaking unbelievable

Chuck Shummer- -the highest paid stooge on AIPAC payroll is denouncing that Netanyahu is beginning to become somewhat of a loose cannon.

Biden.... Says something to the effect that he agrees with Chuck but using the word 'loose canon ' was kinda harsh.

I suppose the takeaway from these poor performances is the brain dead Deplorable's are somehow suppose to believe that the Biden aka Democratic oligarchy are going to soften their part in their Israeli Genocide. NOT

It's my simple minded estimation that the DNC did absolute nothing for you but try to ruin your campaign. By trying to help them is like admitting there is something good about them . There is Not

Their whole MO has always been about keeping us all divided and on the defensive.

You should flip their whole game on them. Tell or have it leaked to the Press that you hope Trump wins... and when he does you hope he treats them as cruelty as they are treating everyone else. For the last thing that the Democratic Party cares about is the people of this country and if there is anyone that the people should be in greater Fear of - - -It is them.

Desperate Times... Desperate Measures

I think that will get you onto some of the main Stream media networks. From there, you can tell them exactly what you think.

just saying....
