Beautifully said, Marianne, thank you so much. I am also feeling the calm....like everyone else is catching up all of a sudden. Thank you for being the rudder for all of us, for speaking truth to what's happening. We will continue to need your clear voice as we move forward and things become more chaotic. Perhaps this is where you need to be, instead of in the mud/political world literally? Many blessings to you, Marianne and thank you. xoxo

I know exactly what you are saying, but couldn't put it into words. For years I have been screaming as loudly as possible about what was to come should Trump ever get into office. Even more so with the second round. Now I feel an unusual feeling of calm and I think it's just what you said. I don't have to scream anymore. He is doing it for me. No one is looking at me thinking there's no way any of that will happen. Well, here we are. Time to regroup and fight in whatever way possible . Thanks again Marianne!!

Marianne, once again you put in words what I’m experiencing. You are amazing - keep being you, facilitating us being our best selves. I’ve been following you 30 years, off and on. You are eloquently grounding and uplifting just when I need it! Blessings

I share your feelings Marianne. Praying this will be a wake up call for the people of the USA & all of us who look on in dismay.

Me, too, Marianne. I had all my angst before the election when I could see how history was repeating. Now I am calm and determined. Some of us are out of step. Thank goodness.

Thank you Marianne for sharing your Self so completely. I think this writing encompasses much of how I've been feeling for quite a while.

I recall often how Andrew Coumo once remarked something like "America's never really been all that great." As a group, it is time for us to own our collective shadow.

What is amazing about this time is that -- some veil has lifted-- and I discover how MUCH I adore the rule of law.

Remaining calm in the lifeboat in spite of the chaos around will help others remain calm. We will get through this turbulence by using peaceful methods of expressing opposition. Thank you, Marianne. I also feel we will come out the other side and the change will be for the better 🙏

I appreciate the tanking metaphor and not just in the politics realm. How have I affected those close to me as I tamp down my emotions. I was so calm during the election and with the intentional chaos unleashed of late, I can still maintain calm. But how do others see it?

I can relate, this really speaks to an understanding of truth. I also have been feeling a sense of calm, I even had a dream of being on a yacht sailing through tsunami 100ft tall waves and asking the crew, how are we safe?? how is this possible, as I look outside to the chaos and overwhelming forces of nature. I hope we choose democracy, freedom, justice, peace and unity - love.

There is another lens, a book called The Fourth Turning, which comes to the same conclusion; excess will always end in a kind of self-immolation. There is no spiritual message in this book, simply a prediction of exactly what is happening now - a natural order of things, or as you say, Marianne, karma.

Yes, I've felt this calm, too. The time has come for America to revisit the ideals set forth by the Founding Fathers, ideals that have never been fully realized. Although they threw off the king, they kept the aristocracy (the slaveowners), so there has always been a privileged upper class and a permanent underclass of laborers. This time around, we need to decide once and for all that we not only don't want to be ruled by a king; we also don't want to be ruled by an aristocracy/oligarchy.

Excellent, thank you Marianne. This is your work, in its highest form, now. The embodiment of consciouness amidst the chaos, the integration of psycho-spiritual wisdom as patriarchal greed self-implodes- this and showin' up is the work of our time.

There's another factor. Out of the gate, the Trump cohort aims at fostering chaos, anger, fear, hopelessness. In a very real sense, the closest and most immediate resistance is to avoid those traps as much as possible. The Serenity Prayer is easy with small stuff. Now's the time to marshal as many inner and outer resources as we can to remain calm. We're in a weird situation where calmness is the best revenge.
