I agree! Unfortunately media makes more money sending fear and terror to us.

Thank you. Marianne Williamson. This country is going through a serious spiritual crisis.

Until we change our consciousness how will we move through the perils facing humanity?

I believe that we have the individual and collective power, and your bravery and fierce commitment to the truth is a beautiful gift.

I like the care and open-mindedness that Marianne put into her meditation.

The one I choose to do right now is simple: Dear God of Grace, I pray that those who suffer from political fear and frightful speech are relieved of their suffering so that those who suffer as a result of someone else's political fear and frightful speech may be relieved of their own suffering.

May all be blessed according to God's will for each, and may I refrain from cultivating political fear and frightful speech to my best ability...

One day, one thought, one act at a time.

Thank you for this. Should it be of benefit to someone, I wanted to share a small good thing. Sometimes when I pick up pet food, there's a chance to make conversation with someone who, I can tell by their clothing or a bumper sticker, is supposedly an enemy. Yesterday it was a woman at Costco, and we were both buying birdseed. She just lit up when I asked her about the birds in her yard. Like a kid. I showed her a bird song identification app I use. Just two people talking about a shared hobby. Yet deliberately having lived experiences like this is helping for the reflexive, abstract "dangerous enemy" thought form (and accompanying fear in my body) to not be so sticky.

I had a similar experience at a health fair a couple of days ago. An old friend who I cut out of my Facebook page because of her insensitive Trump support showed up at the health fair.

She's an accomplished, advanced pedicurist. I was so glad to see her and so grateful for the tremendous work she does for the elderly in our area that I broke into flamboyant praise for her work, and warm exchanges of Goodwill.

It went on for quite some time.

This won't make us friends but it helped me to bridge a gap I created between us because I did not want to experience her in the intimate orbit of my social media.

People are more than their political beliefs. They have their families they have their work in the world they have their Hobbies they have their minor interests.

I can't let what social media has done to this country in other people's lives destroy the ways that I can still connect with my American brothers and sisters, heart to heart, from time to time.

I can't expect this all the time

But I did experience it yesterday

And it made my day. ๐Ÿ˜๐ŸŒˆ๐Ÿ’Ÿ

Thank you for sharing this. I love that it's an experience with someone you actually know! It illustrates what I'm having to learn about keeping my heart open while also cultivating the most refined discernment about boundaries and safety. It feels like my ability to modulate in this area can be too crude for this time.

(R) Stability, responsibility and self-responsibility, care for tradition, holding of boundaries, courtesy, respect, practical realism ...

meet (L) so much heart and generosity and desire to take care of things and people, and desire for common purpose in the creation of a place of safety in which all people can exist together, heal, and grow ...

Where they meet, a heart fire blazes with Warmth and Kindness and Learning and SO MUCH LOVE!

What are the kinds of personal experiences drive each side to the extremes of fear that pit them against one another?? Experiences that we must avoid creating in order to avoid creating greater division and opposition?

Life is NEVER easy, even in America in the 21st Century. But the corporate manipulators would have us believe that it is, in order to sow conflict among us -- conflict that they profit from.

Thank you for your messages, and for building this platform.

Love is the final word. When anger is surrendered, God slowly turns it into compassion. In that way, peace does not bypass our humanity, it fulfills it.
