A functional unity requires a foundational perception about life and self of connectedness. Knowing that I am and we are all innately connected as One.
Look at how people treat people in a group they think they are connected with and how they treat people they feel not connected with.
When you know you are innately part of humanity, your mind will tend to have more honor and respect for others, to value them as yourself, and to treat them with care and consideration.
And if you are operating through an erroneous perception of being separate from many others, then your mind will tend to devalue those others and treat them as such.
"Yesterday I was clever, so I wanted to change the world. Today I am wise, so I am changing myself." – Rumi
When the Covid pandemic hit I was so hoping that it might be the spark that might finally alter humanity's long dark ways and steer us on to a new more enlightened path. Well since that obviously didn't happen, I simply continue to adhere by the mantra 'control what I can and then influence to rest'.
Oh, Marianne, every message you post is more inspirational than the last! I can't express how profoundly grateful I am to you for bridging the sacred and the civic without compromising either. When I recall those Sundays in the 80s when you filled Lincoln Center, sharing the wisdom of ACIM with the gravitas of a magician and the beauty of a cosmic crusader, I affirm and visualize you doing that again! Your words of love will land as the powerful political force so needed at this time.
The time is now! I salute you, on page 148, in the Epilogue of my soon-to-be-released book on Amazon, Kaleidoscope for Becoming: A Grimoire for Revolution.

The time is now! I salute you, on page 148, in the Epilogue of my soon-to-be-released book on Amazon, Kaleidoscope for Becoming: A Grimoire for Revolution. I salute you for being "one of the most outspoken spiritual teachers openly opposing authoritarianism… advocating for a spiritually-oriented politics based on love, compassion, and spiritual integrity." I describe my descent into the rabbit holes of conspiracy theories and my subsequent resurgence and reclamation of inner truth and spiritual sovereignty. Although my personal story is only articulated in the introduction and the Epilogue, I hope my vulnerability will be well met by the large numbers of the metaphysical, holistic, and spiritual communities that have been hijacked, as I was.
This time last year, when you were a guest on the Saturday night show with Scott Catamas, my hopes were dashed, as I realized that the hijack of the community was as real as I had experienced. You were phenomenal, despite the blowback.
Since then, the urgency for revolution continues to rise, and I am grateful that you remind me, "… that love is a powerful force for societal change, capable of addressing issues such as inequality, environmental degradation, and social injustice." Because of your guidance, I "persevered, pursued my truths, and searched for ways out of the rabbit holes and the internet's echo chambers, by returning to my roots in psychology, spirituality, and philosophy..."
The inner work you spoke of today is what I have been promoting over the past quarter century as a psychotherapist and author of Celestial Psychology. I call it the Holy Work of consciousness raising, with an evolutionary trajectory. This book, which I am sure you will appreciate, is the natural evolution of our collective work as ‘the willing ones’.
Change our thinking! Cant solve the problems with the same mind we came on with. Very important that we commune together to remind each other of the brain heart connection. Listen to each other. Compassionate activism! Each one teach one!A day at a time! Thank you for your thoughts of the day. They help fuel me:) to continue on bringing people together where i can!
It has been a long time since I heard or read the phrase, " Each one reach one." OR, " Each one teach one." We never know how our words and actions will affect others. Those words made me smile and put me back in touch with youthful, optimism and energy.
O Marianne ... thank you. It is so heartening to hear this inspirational clarity.
When might we begin naming the fundamental illusion of separation - from parts of ourselves, from each other ( unhealed relationships) and from life on the Earth and cosmos as the source of our increasing civilizational crisis around the planet ? Connecting with each of these dimensions, with ancestors, with forgiveness, with Spirit, Source or Mystery by whatever name, isn't this the "inside job" of which you speak ? More, more, more...

Appreciate this Marianne, especially the brain and heart connection involved in the aspect of intelligence. I agree it's a process to live and act from this point of connection, yet the desire is there.
Thank you for these thoughts, Marianne! I do believe this is the moment for us to complete becoming the ones we were waiting for. There is a kind of calm in knowing this and in knowing that the power comes from the Universe, from Love.
Thanks for sending this out, Marianne. Recently, I received an email from The Foundation for Inner Peace asking me how " A Course in Miracles," had impacted my life. In my personal journey with ACIM over the past 20 years, now, I realize I am calmer and more centered under stress. What I still struggle with, even mightily, is releasing grievances towards others. Yet, in your talk today, you remind us that is exactly what we need to do. This Earthly school is tough.

We are all connected, and we forget this. Thank you MLK and Marianne for pointing us toward the truth of mind and heart.
Thank you for speaking up, please continue to!

I found this song from a young musician Sierra Carson called The Calling. It is a powerful reflection of our times. I hope you enjoy it.

The happiest I have been is when my Social Security paid all my living expenses, and I was free to paint and dance. I would wish that for others.
'Sustainability' (without the 'un') has the lovely lilt too :)
