I got this from a relative, and I think it says it perfectly:

<< I wrote this to a friend earlier who was all 'Even the ADL is saying it wasn’t a salute! He’s done all these things that prove he’s not a Nazi!’

I told her: I feel like I think it’s important to recognize that both things can be true at the same time. Elon Musk might have made gestures like wearing 'bring them home' pins and visiting Auschwitz, but those actions don’t erase or contradict the fact that his current behavior aligns with dangerous ideologies, including platforms and narratives that embolden antisemitism and white nationalism. This isn’t about whether Musk hates Jews all the time; it’s about consolidating power by manipulating various political and social currents—something that authoritarian figures like Hitler have historically excelled at.

It’s not just about individual actions but the broader trajectory and influence. Yes, he may have performed pro-Jewish acts when it suited him politically, but amplifying people like Alice Weidel or Tommy Robinson cannot be excused. These moments demonstrate that he’s playing to extremes, using tools of division and historical revisionism to push a very deliberate agenda. Supporting Israel doesn’t absolve someone of this; they can do both simultaneously. It’s chilling how calculated this consolidation of influence seems.>>

You know he’s neurodivergent right? You know the context of the speech was to Thank everyone from the bottom of his heart? He put his hand on his heart and threw it to the crowd. This is the level of retarded the MSM is at right now.

Did you watch the 3 minute clip? It makes sense in context. He was mimicking the pain of grabbing the heart out of his chest to give to the crowd in gratitude.

Nothing remotely Naziesque was stated in his brief speech. It was joyful, and a beautiful moment.

Beauty is indeed in the eye of the beholder, which is why there is such disagreement on this thread. If a beholder really is biased to detest Elon Musk, they are likely to interpret anything that he does in accord with that bias. They will see no beauty. I admit that I did not feel that either, probably because I have been polarized with bias too. Yet, I interpreted the intent expressed by his gesture the same as you.

There are photos on the web of AOC with a similar raised hand. I doubt on this site that anyone would associate her gesture as revealing traits of Nazism.

The American people lost the election to immorality and desires that continue to support colonialism and global imperialism at the cost of domestic tranquility. People in the US domestically are experiencing trauma through systemic neglect by the oligarchy.

We must move from the back and forth of left vs right and look at class struggle of the empowered vs disempowered. Marianne Williamson has spoke about this, more than a few times. That we keep looking left and right so fervently that can't seem to look UP and direct the focus there.

Marianne, it's not just the hand, nor the look on his face, but the grunt. From a German: "the only thing missing was the heal click."

This moment reminded me of when Trump addressed the proud boys at the debate by telling them to "...stand back and stand by." Elon knew exactly what he was doing. These are very intentional communication signals. Boundaries are actively being pushed around what's acceptable and what's not. A testing of the waters...

Someone else commented that he may have been high on drugs. I think it's abundantly clear just how drunk on power this man is. Scary, chilling times. Our work is collectively deciding what a resistance rooted in love, truth, & justice looks like.

Jesus called out and was angry with the tax collectors in his father's house. He was angry enough to turn tables over and accused them of making his father's house into a den of thieves.

Jesus also called out the Pharisees and Sadducees. The Sadducees were upper-class wealthy men mostly from Jerusalem who made up the Jewish aristocracy, sounds like the men Trump had at his side on inauguration day. Pharisees came from all economic classes but were distinguished by their rigid adherence to specific behavior prescriptions arising from their interpretation of the ambiguities in the Torah, hmmm sounds like the White Nationalist Christians who support Trump.

Jesus called these men, "brood of vipers." The term "brood" means offspring. By calling the Pharisees and Sadducees a "brood of vipers", Jesus was essentially calling them "deadly sons of serpents".

Jesus also told the men who were going to stone a woman to death for prostitution, "he who has no sin, cast the first stone." The men walked away, I am guessing guilty of having sex and paying the woman off. Jesus called them out on their hypocrisy and actions.

So, yes, spiritual people can be angry with those who take advantage of The People and do the work to lead the little children, the people into sin. Spiritual people can and should call out those who take advantage of their position and The People. This doesn't mean that spiritual people do not care for the sick and demented, we pray for their salvation, we pray they see the light, but until they do, it is our job to call them out, and we have every right to be angry.

If you have children of your own or family members who are children, would you allow a bully to harm them or would you stand up to them and protect the children?

Jesus fed the hungry, clothed the naked, healed the sick, listened to the hardships of the women, and played with the children. He cared for people while the rich tax collectors, Pharisees, and Sadducees abused The People, this doesn't mean that Jesus didn't care for the abusers, he hung on a cross asking his father to forgive them for they know not what they do, but he also called them out while he was able to do so.

Off topic. Isn’t Trump a first generation American? So - if he claims all first generation Americans are not citizens, then he is not one too. Deport him!

Expand full comment
Carol's avatar

Trump's father Fred was the son of German immigrants, while his mother Mary Anne MacLeod was a Scottish immigrant. Sounds like Trump should be deported under his laws.

His children are first generation Americans. The mother of Don Jr, Ivanka, and Eric was an immigrant, she is the one who passed away and is buried at the ninth hole of his golf course. It was a tax write off to bury her there! Go figure!

Marla Maples is Tiffany's mother, she is an American citizen and still alive.

Baron's mother is Melania, the current wife who is an immigrant so Baron would need to be deported as well as Melania and her parents, who are also immigrants. They came to America via Melania and Trump. He is a hypocrite to the core!

Musk is also an immigrant who cheated on his visa. He got the visa to go to school in America, yet dropped out soon after. At that point he was supposed to leave the country but he lied, and his brother admitted live on air that they cheated. Musk needs to be deported and all his money could be confiscated. The government could feasibly use Musk's billions to pay off the national debt. I say, "deport now!"

It's amusing to see all the MAGA people parroting the talking points that are fed to them. The same people mercilessly ridiculed a heartfelt display of love by a son for his father when Zack Walz cried with pride over his Tim Walz's speech. They don't even know how to use the correct form of the word "neurodivergent" but it's what was fed to them so they obediently try to cover up a clear Nazi gesture by a guy who has openly praised the Nazis. His family has verified it. The Madison Square Garden rally was full of Nazi rhetoric. Nazis are marching openly in the streets of American cities. But these people will keep denying it and defending them right up until they start taking their friends and loved ones. Welcome to Amurka.

A single-minded, autistic person cannot, in a moment of exuberance or of rage, think outside the box. I've been there, and either had to sit myself down and regroup, or have a loved one do it for me. Musk doesn't seem to have that in his life. He grew up, MOST LIKELY saturated in the White Supremacy of the apartheid regime in South Africa. It has had a deleterious effect, and now we see the damage.

I think, at this time expecially we are all here to learn discernment. That holds true for the Tibetans who have their 2 Karmapas. And it also holds true for us.

In Buddhism it's called "mirrorlike wisdom".

To me that means to go at the neutral point inside in my heart and look as unbiased as possible and then just discribe, what I perceive and also lay aside all concepts that tell me, what I "should" perceive and what not.

And when I do that, I come to the same or a simular perception as Marianne.

I notice a clear break between the situation before, when he thanked the crowd, and the moment when he stretches out his arm with this - in my perception - aggressive facial expression.

And it's actually difficult for me to trace how anyone can perceive this facial expression as loving and joyful. But - as I said - we are all on our own spiritual path. And everyone is responsible for themselves and their own perception.

I don't have to justify myself or convince anyone.

I appreciate it when someone includes the aspect of neurodiversity, and I have also tested this possibility for myself, but still come to the same or similar perception as Marianne, especially when I feel inside myself and feel what this gesture and expression potentially triggers in me.

The function of the Hitler salute is not simply a gesture, but serves to whip up the masses, because - purely physiologically - in an emotionally agitated state, the ability to judge is reduced and people are therefore easier to manipulate.

I am grateful, that in this moment I can still feel inner peace and don't have to become agitated and aggressive, even not against Elon Musk. Just clearity.

That's important to me.
