Enjoyed your talk with Daniel Pinchbeck earlier, I transcribed a few sections for my own sort of pep talk. I agree that now is the time for us all to be true to our dharma, even if it seems less "activist," like making art, or growing things, or connecting with others.

I will be inviting congresswomen who have been outspoken and have shown strength against the forming oligarchy to speak, followed by a panel of the speakers for Q&A. I would love to have you join this panel. I am just now putting this together. Monterey, CA is where Ted Talks got their start and is home base for the Panetta Institute. We have progressive people here that I want to put a fire under.

So sad Joanne! But a little confusion....it is not The Carter Center but the Carter Presidential Library who has the oversight by the National Archives/government. The Carter Center is a non governmental organization. So yes unfortunately the Library has been instructed to restrict these events based on. approved topics and staffing is affected as well. The Carter Center has been affected by the end of government funding for aid programs but luckily it has never been more than 10% of our funding. Jimmy Carter was a smart man! For now affected staff have been guaranteed 90 days pay and we are readjusting internally. ❤️

I need someone to hear this and help communicate the importance. After stepping back and observing Elon Musk's behavior, something rang familiar. I have worked with children on the autism spectrum for many years of my life. I've worked with minimally functioning, nonverbal people up to and including those with Asperger's.
It hit me today seeing the week in review with Musk's. I recognized his behavior. It was so familiar to me.
Yes, he has a brilliant mind. Autism. Centric of the self.
He cannot understand or has very little ability to empathize!
Trump is Narcissistic and Elon doesn't compute the pain or feelings of others.
I so want to post something but I'm not sure how. After listening to you the past couple of days,I got quiet in thought. The light suddenly went off. I am praying that you see this. I'm coming from a place of peace, but posting anything with a “label of diagnosis” isn't helpful.

Dear God,
In this painful hour we are filled with fear for our country, for our fellow citizens, for the
earth, and for ourselves.
We give thanks for all the United States has meant to us and to the world.
We pray for forgiveness for all the ways in which our country, and we ourselves, have not lived
up to the responsibilities of a great nation.
Forgive us for all the ways we have not been who we were created to be.
We pray for forgiveness for having taken for granted such a sacred honor,
for failing to live up to the examples of our ancestors, and failing to live up to what we owe
those who come behind us.
Dear God, please help us begin again.
Take away from us our judgements of Trump, of Musk, of others who we know are innocent
children of God yet whose actions fill us with fear.
Awaken all to the spirit within us, and allow no ill intent to hurt our nation.
May no weapons formed against us stand.
Take away the sword from those who do not wield it responsibly.
Put courage in the hearts of those who can make a difference.
Work a miracle of our behalf, dear God, and use us in any way that we may be of service.
Strengthen us, encourage us, and prepare our hearts for the road ahead.

I’m on tne west coast and concerned about life becoming more and more difficult for most of us.
It's a real possibility, but we can interrupt this absurdity. I do feel like more and more people are picking up on what's really going on.
Yes, locally, new people are joining our progressive social media pages and even announcing they are joining because of the situation.
