Beautiful Marianne. You're 100% right. Everyone needs love and understanding. When I was in the corporate World selling high end software for a Global company(and also a student of ACIM!) my role was to manage and convert all high value prospective clients. This was in Australia and I handled the whole of the region, including New Zealand, and the Pacific Islands, so I spent very little time in the office-thank God. I was in my element out in the field but I HATED the corporate culture, which, for a man of Faith and Spirit was anathema to my holiness. I'm rambling, but there's a reason.
I captured the hearts of my clients and, I think I was succesful because I didn't think transactionally, I thought of the people and how to make their daily work more enjoyable and efficient. At celebratory lunches with the CEO or CIO, they (after a few glasses of good wine) would pour their hearts out to me. They were lonely and stressed. I would listen with compassion and they felt at ease to let it all out because I wasn't part of their company so they could drop the mask. The warmth they received and the fulfillment I enjoyed in these conversations was priceless. I was effectively a life coach-LOL. I've written this because the business world is so badly in need of a Human Touch, and I'd like to think that those conversations did more for them and their company than the tech they purchased. A major Win Win I felt for all of us. All because I was in a Love space, whilst they were in a Fear space. It was radical!!!
