Thank-you Marianne. At a time like this, it is not about Republican or Democrat. Thank-you for saying that. That is what we all need to hear. We are either spreading violence or we are not. We need peaceful elections. If you don't want Trump, don't vote for him. Violence helps no one. Thank-you for your message. I wish it was on Youtube so we could share it!

I have copied / transcripted as fast as I could type your words so I could share these with my friends and family passing so many opinions etc. on the matter. I am sharing your words. So eloquently heartfelt and exactly what we all need to hear at this time...

“I’d like to talk to you about what happened today. At a moment like this we shouldn’t be coming at it as people on the left or the right, Democrat, Republican, anything like that. We should be coming at this as human beings, and as Americans who are committed to our country being healthy, and our country being in a state of repair, not a state of violence. We should remember people died today. And let’s be grateful that our former president is ok and let’s all take responsibility for tapping down the violence that’s in the air; on social media, people making this left versus right - anything like that, that’s the last thing we need. And all of us need to be committed to that and doing our part. And we do that with the thoughts that we think and the utterings of our own heart.

When the United States and other nations began their invasion in Normandy, President Roosevelt led the nation in a prayer. And I think we could use a prayer right now. Particularly those of us on different sides of political spectrums and so forth. Let’s just pray for peace in the midst of chaos and violence. That’s one of the most powerful things that we can do.

So please join with me those of you who believe in a power within our hearts.

We pray for peace.

We pray for those who lost their lives today.

We pray a prayer of gratitude that our former President is alright.

We pray for healing and swift recovery of anyone who was hurt.

And we pray that the spirit of peace and love and blessing and protection be upon our country at this time.

And we pray Dear God that you remove from any of us any thoughts or feelings of violence or hatred in our own hearts but show us a better way.

May this campaign, our politics, our people, our nation, be lifted above the scourge of violence and hatred.

We pray to be better people, a better country.

We pray for the world, we pray for each other.

And so it is.

Amen.

And let this be a call to all of us, to make our country better, not worse.

God bless the world and God Bless America!”
