How do we cultivate peace - in our hearts, our country, and our world?
Peace is not the absence of violence; violence is the absence of peace. We will be a violent society until we decide to be a nonviolent one.
What does that mean for us personally as well as societally? What changes are we challenged to make, in our hearts and in our politics? It means a lot of things, and we should begin to discuss them. Martin Luther King said, ‘Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter."
This matters. Let us not be silent.
